    Light weight

  4. My Dr did the same. After pushing my nutritionist I got her to say 150-155 for me. I'm 5' 6.5". I'm 157 now, one year post surgery and I feel really good about where I am. If I lose too much more I think I'll look gaunt. I'll see what the Dr says at my appt next week.
  5. I'm 5' 6.5" Age 53 Pre-surgery weight 265, sz 22 Surgery Aug 2018 (1 yr ago) 250 Current 157, sz 10 I'm extremely happy with where I am with my weight and clothes size. I'm not really sure what my Doctor's goal was - I'll ask at my one year check up next week - but I think it's 150-155. In my mind I'm pretty much there. Truly I think I would look too gaunt if I got below 150. I attribute my success to simply working the program. Logging my food, focus on protein goals and lower carbs. For a really long time I was eating between 900-1200 calories, but in the past few weeks I seemed to have jumped up to about 1100-1500. Haven't gained (yet?) because of it. Best wishes on your journey! It's really excited to watch the transformation over time.
  6. Congratulations! So wonderful that you two have each other to support! That would be so helpful instead of being in my household where the rest of the family continues to eat unhealthy and have that crap food around which makes it so tough for me. Good luck on the rest of your journey!
  7. What source did you use that said weight gain is a side effect of Zoloft? I've been on Zoloft for years before surgery and have continued since surgery one year ago, and have not noticed weight gain because of it. This screenshot actually mentions weight *loss* as a possible side effect. Source: https://www.rxlist.com/zoloft-side-effects-drug-center.htm
  8. If you were on anti anxiety meds before surgery then I certainly recommend you get with your Dr to get back on them. Regarding the head hunger, I've been falling into old bad habits when facing that and also with boredom. Constant struggle for me which obviously is what got me into needing surgery in the first place. Hang in there!
  9. 48 is better than me. I'm more like 32 but that's just water. Protein shakes are another 16 but my nutritionist said I can't count the shakes. But I disagree. My first nutritionist said I could. I actually don't feel dehydrated though.
  10. I understood your post and took it for what it was, just a conversation starter to get others' thoughts. You even included a tongue-out emoji which to me indicated you weren't being too serious. Keep working toward your goals. You're doing great. [emoji4]

    30lbs

Congratulations! 30 lbs is fantastic! Be proud of yourself and try not to compare your progress to how others have done. Everyone is so different. Just focus on your own accomplishments and enjoy!

    Missing food today

That feeling is so very normal. Hang in there. Push through the sadness and anger. Soon you will start to see the positive results of your decision and it will all be so very worth it. Ain't gonna lie though, I've had quite a few rough days emotionally over the past year of my journey. You've got this!
  13. I had surgery a year ago. I've only monitored my weight loss progress through the decreasing numbers on the scale and in clothes sizes, not through measurements or photos. I use the baritastic app to log my food to keep me on track.
  14. I've rarely met the 64 oz Water goal. I'll be one year post op on the 15th and have lost over 100 lbs, pretty much at my goal weight now.
  15. I was sleeved a year ago and I do remember being cold in the first few months but haven't noticed it since. What I do notice now though is that my bony butt often hurts when I sit. Never had that issue before with all the extra padding on my backside.

    OOTD

So how come everyone has such nice looking arms? I'm so jealous. I refuse to wear anything less than 3/4 sleeve, unless I'm home with nobody except myself or my immediate family.

    Drinking strategy

Ask for your cocktail as a "tall" where the ratio of mixer to alcohol is greater which would minimize the alcohol effect. I like grapefruit and vodka.
