I can't reach my protein goals without at least one shake and I'm over a year post surgery. Glad my Dr is ok with it.

Congratulations! Reaching ONEderland is such a great feeling! Way to go! -
I bought a bar at work which is generally my emotional eating crutch. It was a mindful choice as I looked the labels of every single one - even though none where good! - and then picked the one with the most Protein and least carbs. I walked back to my desk, I took a bite, then realized WTF! I don't need this! So I spit out my bite and threw the rest of the candy in the trash! Yay me!! Curious, how'd you come across Lily's dark chocolate chips? Is it considered one of the best with respect to macros?

I wonder if years down the road when the ghrelin starts to come back (sleeve patients) if we'll need appetite suppressants to reduce the hunger feelings again.

Wow! What a transformation! So awesome?!

Oh my goodness I'm so sorry for what you are going through. That's just awful for so many reasons. I don't have any advice, just empathy.
-
Congratulations! You look fantastic!

How many times did you have to change your wardrobe?
rs replied to BoredCW's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I bought new clothes far too often. It was just so exciting to keep getting smaller and smaller sizes! I started out wearing a size 22 and a year later I am now in 10's. I'm about 5'7", 151 lbs, 53 yrs old. My Dr and I are very happy where I'm at so I think my wardrobe is staying put where it is. I think thrift stores are a great idea at least for the transitioning sizes, although truth be told I ended up buying all my stuff new, usually at Marshall's, Target, or Kohl's, and on sale. So many clothes to choose from when you get into regular sizes! Good luck and enjoy! -
Autistic bariatric patients and psychological clearance
rs replied to cajunredpanda's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm rooting for you that your surgery eventually gets approved. While post surgery life is challenging, the rules are pretty clear - focus on protein and water. It seems to me that if you've proven in the past that you can be disciplined enough to follow rules then that should be good enough to clear you for the surgery. Just my thoughts. Good luck! -
Has anyone tried any of the cocktail mixers that are sold on the BaristricPal store website?
