Hello Lin my name Sharie Rosales and I had the surgery on April 1st of this year. I have lost 40 lbs so far. I still eat out at restaurants but I can't eat alot so I'm usually sitting there talking with my husband and kids while they finish off their meals and deserts. I think you can have desert in moderation but I am always too full to eat it. I haven't found that there are foods that I don't want anymore other than beef because it makes me go really bad! I know that this is a big decision for you to make so take your time and make the best decision for you. I'm really happy with my band and I'm looking forward to more weight loss.

Congratulations , I very excited for you. I was banded on April 1st and my process was a lot easier than some I have read about on the forum. I visited a True Results Center in Atlanta on February 6, 2008 for a Free Diagnostic. After my Psych Eval, Nutrition Consultation, and blood work my package was sent to the Insurance Company BCBS of Georgia. I was approved on March 15, 2008 and my surgery was scheduled for April 1st. Every thing really seemed to go very fast so enjoy this pre-surgery time. Because the post op diet of liquids only is no fun!!!!

Hello All, My name is Sharie and I live in the Atlanta Area. I was banded on April 1st by Dr. Hart at Perimeter Surgery Center. I am new to this forum, and I hope to learn a lot more about living with the Lapband. So far I have lost 12 lbs. I am not hungry but being around my 3 kids and husband while they eat can be somewhat annoying, but it is definitely worth it!!!!
