Rny isn’t open surgery... mine was done with two very small incisions about an inch long— that’s it!!On 01/25/2020 at 10:23, RSMKEM said:
If you’re not taking your PPI every day, it cannot be effective. If you’re only taking it a few times per week, that’s not necessarily being conservative - you’re not giving it a chance to work properly.

Only my husband knows. Rny dec 2017. I started with an extreme healthy diet change and robust exercise routine prior to surgery so folks really didn’t question more than that. The way I see it it’s none of their business. Now over two years out it’s up to me to keep it off.

Beginning of a type of dumping syndrome: you feel awful. Happens if you eat too much sugar or too much in general

Smooth Move tea works— REAALLLLY WELL haha so be close to home for a few hours!! 😂
Also be careful with the fruit- a lot of sugar so don’t eat it after surgery until cleared.
Good luck - it’ll be here before you know it!MONA H. reacted to this -

Ditto on getting help sooner rather than later.
This journey is so complex and can be difficult to navigate as is, getting help would definitely be a benefit . I am sure They’ve seen it all before and can help. Get help before it is further along and much harder

Marshall’s and TJMaxx are great go-to’s for work clothes. You’re going to go through them pretty fast so try to get pieces that mix and match best.

You sleep the first day and I felt ok to be alone . You’re in the hospital— if you need assistance, ring you buzzer for a nurse. I was fine other than feeling like 10,000 sit ups so getting up was a bit hard for the first couple of days but nothing crazy.

For me it took about 6 -8 weeks for it to feel “normal” -
Really not complaining that much as it’s really the only place that sags (tummy a little bit smoooshie but overall ok)
