8 days post op & barely feeling the restriction I felt even two days ago. Normal?
BostonWLKC replied to JessiG's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Everyone is different. As an rny person I don’t think I’ve personally had a significant “stall”.... more like a week with no movement but it moves eventually— especially if you are constipated and not eating enough fiber. I’ve slowed to barely 1 lb a week now but I’m very close to goal so I figure it BC my body is almost / or is at its natural weight. Stalls are “normal” but different for everyone- maddening I know but hang in there! -
What kind of post-op tea did you drink?
BostonWLKC replied to 3nuthut's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I drank hot tea (cold water made my stomach hurt and hot was soothing). Loved and had peppermint right away - only way I was able to drink water for first month. I love all decaf teas .... especially iced this summer 😊 Good luck tomorrow! -
You should call your doctor . That isn’t normal

Expected Weightless
BostonWLKC replied to Medowsweet's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It’s the % from what you weigh now and what you ideally weigh according to weight chart. Remember that this an average- nothing says you can’t obliterate the average ! I’ve lost more than what was expected -
How much time off from work?
BostonWLKC replied to Swanton_Bomb's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had mine over winter break from school. Bypass 2 days before break and back to work after break about 10 days later. Was perfect but could’ve done sooner if I had to. Was a good time to do it for me- when we return it was a short week too! -

That sounds tough! Maybe some shredded chicken mixed with salsa or even just cheese sticks! I also love dried chick peas and the come chocolate covered or caramel or salted (they sell them on here in store too) -
Seems silly but my hair elastic doesn’t cut my wrist circulation off anymore 😂

4 years post op and can’t lose a pound
BostonWLKC replied to BriWLS's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Definitely cut out all of the extras like ice creams and nuts if you’re looking to drop calories. I’d agree with going back to liquids and or high proteins only -
Awesome! Congrats to you!
