No Stupid Questions? Weighing Food
BostonWLKC replied to Weight of Mind's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My NUT says weigh cooked. That said remember volume and weight are different. (Ie 4 oz of ground turkey may be more than 1/2 c) so just watch what you’re weighing with regards volume. But then again your stomach should help tell you too -
Smooth move tea works in a few hours but it does cause stomach cramps for about 15 min Works though!!

Happy BDay Creek! Awesome tattoo! Was thinking of symbolizing this journey with one but have not decided what that would be.

I second Matt! Get the other therapist on the phone so you have someone in your corner Good luck -
Only thing that really helps that is tons of walking. When you think you’re done walking- walk more. Lay on your side and massage your stomach too- helps a bit Feel better

Hydration and exercise after bypass
BostonWLKC replied to GettinSkinnywithit's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hydration isn’t an issue ! Your taste for cold or unflavored water may change but that’s easily fixed with other options! Good luck -
Walk as much as possible..... it helped the chest pain. For me that was gas trapped there

How are you feeling today? Hopefully it either passed or you went to ER

How long off work/disability?
BostonWLKC replied to Happy2lose13's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had the bypass and was off for 1 1/2 weeks. Was more than enough but it’s a different surgery -
I’m thrilled to be where I am now but if I had to choose a goal- I would want to get to 140. It seems like the middle of the BMI range for me at 5’6”. My nutritionist said to cut that 5 more lbs to give a cushion. So I guess 135?? Seems like a pipe dream but then again- I never thought I’d see 152

I hate protein shakes!
BostonWLKC replied to BiggieDukes27's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Premiere protein has a lot of flavors and 30 g . A bit sweet but easily watered down or added to coffee etc. vanilla is least sweet and caramel is good! -
I like the peppermint— soothes your stomach too
