Good for you! I had a killer headache for a couple of days. I gave it up and haven’t gone back even after surgery. I just feel better! Decaf teas if I feel the need for a hot drink :)

I don’t want to be “that guy”
BostonWLKC replied to Sweedfire86's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Definitely can be hormones. Don’t make any decision for a few months and see where you are then. Everything at your stage is up on end emotionally for a while Good luck -
It gets better around week 3! Try hot water or decaf teas... it helped me when I had that type of pain drinking. (Or alkaline water). I’m at 7 months and had zero pain after month 1 with fluids Good luck!

How do I eat healthy when my family doesn't?
BostonWLKC replied to luckyducky's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I’ve been ok so far just not paying it any mind when others eat less healthy food. The way I figure it, we can’t eat a whole lot anyway so why waste it on a bite or two of something that is going to be less filling. I kind of take pride in the fact that no matter what anyone else is eating I am eating a high-protein meal . However, I do like the idea of keeping your food separate… Or having them keep their food separate so you’re not even going into that cabinet or section of the refrigerator -
Annoyed by doctors office staff
BostonWLKC replied to KennyJenks's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine took a week before scheduling once it went to insurance. Definitely take at least 2-3 weeks before returning . I took a week and a half off (not including weekends) and was fine.... just no heavy lifting Good luck with your date!! -
Crush your pills :). Put them in broth or shake

-
I’m jumping on the smooth move tea vote... give it a few hours after drinking. Definitely not an issue after that. Make sure you’re home - gives me stomach cramps for about 15 min

Upset about weight loss, not sure what to do
BostonWLKC replied to niknik1986's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hang in there. Definitely kick up your exercise as Matt suggested. I also wonder about the 3 shakes- is this something your Dr recommended? Maybe you’re eating too few calories at 3 months out? I’d ask your nutritionist to be sure Good luck and hang in there -

BostonWLKC replied to Kstef's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I do too.... just just a second or two . Typically at night and when I get up quickly . I assume it doesn’t happen during the day BC I’m up and about more often. -

Quick Lunch/Food Question Regarding Ounces
BostonWLKC replied to Little Kansas Kitty's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Volume and weight differ so be careful of each . I would suggest only eating what your stomach tells you and slowly. Give time for your brain to catch up to your stomach to feel full. Feel better !
