I am so happy to read about everyone's success! I had my surgery on March 7th and have lost 87 lbs. I have another 7-10 lbs to go but have been at a stall for a couple of months. My body seems to be happy where it is and I am a-ok with that. I feel awesome, look good, and have a ton of NSVs that keep me going. Best decision I ever made for myself!! Hope everyone else is feeling the same!

KG371 - congrats! The same thing is happening in my house! I asked my husband why my 13 yr olds clothes are in our closet and he said “ I guess I just can’t tell your clothes apart anymore “. 😁

I'm doing well! I stick to protein, veggies 90% of the time and avoid sweets 100% which is my trigger. I am 82lbs down and only about 20 from my goal. I feel amazing, can run around with my family, love shopping and don't hesitate to say YES to anything anymore. There are days I am actually still surprised when I walk by a mirror and see myself. I do not obsess daily about my weight and it is freeing. I have had a lot of stress in my life this last few months and I would not have been able to mentally get through it if I was 80lbs heavier. I have lost a lot of hair, but I had a lot to begin with so it wasn't too bad for me, but I have noticed that it is starting to slow down, so i think it will stop soon. Can't wait to see how everyone else is doing!

Sleeved on 3/5. Down 51lbs (47 post-op). I am seeing my nutritionist monthly as my one touchpoint to keep me accountable on food choices. We use the time to review my food log and set goals for the coming month. It has been really helpful for me in addition to attending my surgeon's support group.

Had surgery on 3/7/18 and was a size 20. Two weeks ago, I went to buy a dress to wear for Mother's Day and was a size 16....I was crying in the dressing room! Yesterday, I put the dress on and it was already too big. Ran back to the store and exchanged it for a 14! Best Mother's Day ever! LOL

I am 2 months out today and that is still my “one bite too many” signal. I just try to eat slower so that I can tell when I am full before I get to that point. It takes some time, but really pay attention as you eat and you will start to recognize the signs. Also, measuring my food really helps. Good luck!!

I can third this! Had surgery on March 7th and work a desk job from my home office, so not terribly taxing on me. I initially took 3 weeks off and ended up making it 6weeks because I was exhausted ("couldn't get off the couch all day" exhausted). The nurse kept telling me that for the anesthesia can last up to 6 weeks. Lo and behold, one day around 5.5 weeks I woke up feeling fantastic. Just rest when you can and know that it is not uncommon!

Gurgling in Esophagus after Swallowing
CurleyQ replied to logicwand's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had my surgery on the 7th (no hernia) and get the gurgle every time I drink something, but it seems to be lessening. It sounds like it is pretty normal. My kids have found it entertaining! LOL -
I am glad to see that I am not the only one with a short prep period. The prep documentation the surgeon gave me had a 2 week prep, but he told me he was crossing it out for me and said to do it for 2 days. Everything after surgery is non-negotiable, though, and is in line with everyone else's 6 week migration back to food.

March 7th for me. It is starting to get real for me this week! Good luck to everyone and I look forward to cheering each other on!

March 7th! I was approved last week and finished my pre-admission testing yesterday. Excited and nervous....emotions all over the place!
