  1. I know this is an old thread...but just some points (I have not read all 14 pages) 1. An addiction is defined as something that prevents a person from tending to normal daily activities, and is typically not someone one can just quit cold turkey. 2. Not all cannabis users inhale it...which means smoking for them is not an issue. 3. It has some great benefits, from nausea relief and appetite stimulant to pain relief to anxiety relief. 4. There are strains out there which typically do not cause the munchies. 5. Not everyone uses cannabis "for fun." Some people truly benefit from it on many levels. Be responsible. Do your research. Never drive or operate heavy machinery while under the influence. I really hate it when people are judgmental and make assumptions.

Spokane is awesome! But, all of my support people are here west of the mountains, so it'd be pretty tough to go that far.
  4. I had a lap band placed 11 years ago (and removed 2 days ago!!) but back then my husband voiced his concern that I might lose weight and leave him for someone else (an irrational fear he's always had). My own fear with my upcoming sleeve is that when I lose weight he'll no longer be attracted to me. He's never known me at a healthy weight. We've been married for almost 16 years. Alcoholism, interfering family, lost jobs, bankruptcy, foreclosure, a baby in the NICU, having 3 babies 3 and under at one point, a move across the country and back again 10 months later that was intended to be permanent, health issues for us both, and a child who has fought a brain tumor for almost 4 years...we've made it through all of that, so I pray we can make it through this one too.

I'm a patient at Eviva too! Fist apt w/ Dr. Stewart on Dec 6th (2017) ... he just removed my lapband on Tuesday! I'm scheduled for a sleeve on April 3rd. Okay, but now I'm freaking out. Something is going on with Eviva and it's not sounding good. I guess management is contacting patients but last week the entire psychotherapy group up and left, as did half their nutritionists. I found out earlier this morning when I called to schedule psych appts for March...my next one is on MONDAY and no one bothered to call to let me know psych quit. And on March 19th I had a preop nutrition apt that will no longer be. Do any of you know what's going on? The front desk, when I called to voice my concerns, made it sound as if the doors staying open are an uncertainty. Edmonds and Bellingham locations also just closed down. I'm so stressed over it all.
