Me and my husband already came up with a plan where we will order a meal we are both interested in and we will just add a side no reason to order a full meal when we won’t be able to eat it.

Just got the clearance from my GI doctor yesterday yea even though she still highly was against it with my crohns. I got my letter of approval and did all my pre admititions yesterday. Start my liver cleansing diet Tuesday and surgery is on the 29 of May I am starting to get nervous about it though. I am going through with it because of the studies I have read with my condition. But I am more afraid of the surgery itself

I am not going to jump on a scale for 30 days after surgery I have noticed I get frustrated with a scale so I am going to wait every 30 days to weigh in so if my clothes feel loser I be happy lol

She did it again this week. She dose not understand why if I have lost 40 pounds and I have always been under the BMI why I need it. To fight the weight battle and be successful u have to get ride of everything toxic in your life. The toxicity will cause old habits to come back. Once u fight the battle and feel u are completely in control introductuce it back in ur life. If you ever watch my 600 pound life there families are so toxic and most fall apart after surgery because the person that gets he surgery is ready to heal. The ones hat don’t fall apart go back to the way they were. Food is a strong addiction and the problem is u can not quite it cause u need it to survive. So battle your life do what is best for u. It’s time to say what is best for me and not worry about no one else. Because in the long run our weight might eventually kill us. Lots of therapy here before I got to this point and this is when I New I was ready for surgery. I am controlling my life and I do t care what people say I will be here for my grand babies

Yup I know about D cause I have crohns and it’s already a malabsorption issue they do labs every 8 weeks I have D infused I am trying to get off that and go on pills now that it’s been stable for 3 years

My mom is one matter of fact I told her how I lost 20 pounds so she said oh so u do t need the sleeve see. The fact is I always lose in summer and gain in winter don’t know what it is. She is always saying how she is against it. I finally decided I will not tell her anymore. You can give your mother an altimatum to either support you and ur decision because you are a grown adult and ur life is important to u or you will just not tell her about what is going on in your life. The min I told my mother that she backed off and decided to listen and support she is coming in for surgery to help with the kids and dogs

Have u had another endoscopy? I have known people that have developed a small flap of tissue over the top of there stomach so the only thing u can do is throw up cause there is no way for it to enter the stomach

The injections work the best the pills never worked. Try the humaria or cimizia it is self injected. Do not go on Remicade or entyvo unless all else fails. They are very harsh on your system

Good glad u are getting the sleeve. I just hate it when the. Dont educate themselves on condition. I am 36 I have delt with it since I was 16. Two hospital stays with almost complete blocks when I went off meds with pregnancies. Now my body just builds antibodies to them. Lol but I try to stay up on reasrch CBD oil is the best for it but I am a government employee and there is a small chance u can test positive for THC. So not worth the chance. Don’t know what state or job or requirements u have but CBD oil if I remember is legal in all states because there is supposed to be no THC in it. That might help ur inflammation. But it might have a issue with pre surgery requirements. They just took me off blood pressure medication and birth control pills. They switched my blood pressure meds with a non water one

FYI I know 4 more crohns patients that have had the sleeve done. Do u have insurance now? In order for my inflammation to be touched on steroids I was on such a high dose it took two years to get off it. So I never get steroids anymore. The only time I get steroids is if they push them in a iv for my infusion. Entvyo is very expensive that’s why I asked it’s a $20,000 drug and brand new. But there is humaria, cimiza which are good drugs to but again very expensive. I can’t believe our surgery dates are very close together only days apart. I am lucky I have tricare (military) tell my husband he can never get out we could never afford my meds lmao

Sleeve is the best option like I said maybe do your research and present it your surgeon with the information and show him ur case many just don’t deal with it but it is not a conterindication they have found the sleeve has help a lot of patients with IBD

I have active crohns right know again I am resisting but no inflammation it’s really strange on all my studies I am on entvyo which is a infusion every 8 weeks. I have a 2cm stricture at my my ilium I really don’t recommend the RNY neither did my GI or my surgeon. U need to preserve ur intestines as much as possible.
