3rd fill in 14ml band tomo

Hi RosyPosy, A typical day is: I start with porridge with skimmed milk for Breakfast and then at lunchtime I have 5 rice cakes with tuna mixed with a little creme fraiche on top. After the rice cakes I have a low fat yoghurt. For dinner my husband prepares either meat or fish with vegetables and I have natural yoghurt with dried fruit as a pudding. drinks throughout the day are tea/water. If I feel a need for an occassional chocolate treat I have either 2 jaffa cakes OR 4 cubes of dark chocolate. If I fancy something savoury I have a packet of Snack a Jack rice cake crisps. I hope this gives you an idea. Keep at it...I haven't lost weight for a couple of weeks but I do know I have lost inches from the walking and the gym and that makes me feel better. Take care for now - Kimx

3rd fill in 14ml band tomo

Hi Rosy Posy, I went for my second fill yesterday. I am now 8ml in a 14ml band. The nurse who did my fill, Toni, said that it can take 3/4 fills of a 14ml band before you feel restriction. I am keeping my fingers crossed this time. I try and keep really busy at night as that tends to be my "pick time". My husband and I have our dinner and then take the dog for a good long walk, When we get back I have a healthy options hot chocolate and I am done for the evening. Try that and see (if you don't have a dog, just go for a walk round the block, make it at least 30 minutes) Keep smiling...

3rd fill in 14ml band tomo

Ladies, It is lovely to read all your stories. I was banded on 31st Jan this year. I have an AP Large band - 14ml. I had my first fill on 25th March - this was 6.5 cc, and am scheduled to have another fill tomorrow. I booked another fill as I have only lost 6lb in 5 weeks. This is disappointing as I go to the gym 3 times a week and walk the dog for 30 mins twice a day. My start weight was 21st 3lb and I am now at 19st 4.5lb. Feeling a little dispondent at the moment, especially as my husband has lost more weight than me and he has not even been banded! I'll keep my chin up and keep going though. Kim

3 weeks out & eating like a horse!

Hi Frisky1, I have been reading a lot of the comments on this forumm and it seems that a lot of people are reporting that you may need a bandfill as you lose weight. I would contact your doctor and discuss a fill. I have an AP Large band - 14ml, and on my first fill I had 6.5cc. This has not done anything and so I have booked for my second fill. I am looking for my "sweet spot". Just remember, your body is changing constantly, and you have to change with it!

3 weeks out & eating like a horse!

Guys, thanks for all the support. It is great to hear that we are all having similar issues and someone is feeling exactly the way we do. This is a life changing thing for me and I WILL succeed, as will all of you. I had my first fill the day I was signed off by my doctor - 6 weeks after the operation. It was a little uncomfortable, but not too bad. Now 4 weeks later I am having my second fill. Lets hope it works )

3 weeks out & eating like a horse!

Hi Guys, I have been banded since 31st January...had my first fill on 18th March and still no restriction. I have a fill booked for next week, so fingers crossed as I am finding it harder and harder to keep on the straight and narrow. I walk the dog twice a day and go to the gym 3 nights a week just to keep me busy. My husband and dog have never looked so good with all the weight they have lost! I will keep going, but it does get hard to try and change the mentality you have had for a lifetime in just a few short weeks. I have written a list of all the reasons I had this band and when I get down I sit and read it and it makes me go and find something to do to keep me away from food. Try it.. Kim Adams
  8. All, I am aware that fills can be completed in Dolan Park Hospital in Bromsgrove - you can schedule these by calling Obesity Healthcare on 0845 1249234 and arranging an appointment. Cost is £125 I had my operation on 31st January - initially weighed 134kg, now at 122kg and looking to get my second fill. I have an AP Large band - 14ml. First fill was 6.5cc - scheduled my second for 22nd April
