2 months, 23 days since surgery. Life is really getting back to normal now. 41kg down from my January 2018 weight and 24.2kg down since surgery. Just dropped under 115 for the first time in years! Still, a long way to go from my goal but i'm getting there.

Thanks everyone for the positive comments, certainly helps to keep motivated. I bought some new clothes on the weekend because seriously was looking like I was walking around in a bed sheets. 6XL at my largest size in December 2017, today, I am wearing a 3XL and its probably still a little big (target Mr. Big sale $10 shirts, and this was the smallest size they had)

6 weeks tomorrow, it's starting to get easier and I am able to eat a bigger variety of foods but still not very much. The mental side is getting easier, I just spent a whole weekend away with friends at a church camp, the food is always really carby and massive portions, I just stuck with my protein bars and small bits of protein off my partners plate - it was hard but easier than I thought it was going to be when I was thinking about the weekend. In terms of meat protein, I have so far only really tried chicken and pork - chicken isn't great, I get about two bites and I'm done, but pork seems to go down a lot better. I bought cold rolls from the local Vietnamese place the other day, cut them open, took out all the meat, mixed it with their amazing peanut sauce and ate that. I got through maybe 35 grams (1-1.5ounces) Haven't been counting anything much other than liquids. My surgery didn't have a nutritionist or dietician or anything, so I have ended up finding a new WLS Centre that has all of those things and I have an appointment on Tuesday next week, which I am hoping will help me focus things a bit better. I am still losing weight, although stalled this week, I've been mostly eating things like protein bars, pork crackle stuff because of the really high protein, but trying to not to eat too much as they are high in salt and a DEFINITE slider food.. I reckon if I wanted I could easily eat a whole bag. I ordered the Protein Perfection protein water stuff, it arrived today, I had high hopes, but so far I have hated all the flavours, so sickly made me gag. I really need to find a liquid protein that I can stomach, tried the Atkins brand low carb protein shake today - that's also disgusting. I have found this brand of Protein bars is great, they are quite small only a 30gram serve with 10.1 grams of protein in each bar, they are a great mid-morning/afternoon snack. http://www.smartlivingnutrition.com.au/ Thought I would also attach a bit of a progress photo

A month tomorrow, it's been an interesting month. Definitely harder than I anticipated and have really started to appreciate just how much my social life revolves around food. Struggling to get down anymore than 2-3 bites of basically anything at this stage before feeling really full, so trying to stick more to fluids (protein shakes and soups etc) have definitely had quite a few moments of regret, but trying to get my head around the fact that they are mostly related to the things I know I now won't be able to do, which are mostly things I shouldn't do anyway (like sitting down to a huge burger, fries and coke) Happy with the weight loss progress, I have lost a total of 16kg (35 pounds) since surgery and a total of 32.6 (71.8 pounds) since I started my weight loss journey back in January this year.

I'll be two weeks post op tomorrow. Seem to be mostly over the worst of it, most pain is gone, a little bit of reflux but very minimal and none the last couple of days. I've lost 9.1kg (20.1 pounds) since surgery and a total of 25.7kg (56.65 pounds) since I started my pre-op process which I started three months before surgery. I moved onto soft foods at the 10 day mark, and am on that for the next two weeks. It's not too bad. Definitely mentally tougher than I had anticipated, I'm fairly young (29) and eating out is a big culture here, so the idea of that being significantly restricted in future is still playing on my mind. Would love to meet more Aussies (especially Adelaide based) sleevers - if there are any here hit me up

I booked my surgery back in February, so started my pre-op diet back then by having Optifast for breakfast. In March I moved to Breakfast and lunch and then in April moved to three meals a day, but with a bowl of pan fried or steamed vegetables as well. I lost 15kg in that three months pre-op. I was also swimming at least twice a week. I had plenty of cheat days, infact my day before surgery I had Macca's, figured it was probably the last time I'll have it for a long time, if ever. I guess starting so much earlier on pre-op diet allowed me to be a bit more flexible. My surgery was Friday morning, and I'm coping fine with the liquids only because as much as I don't enjoy the OptiFast, I've just gotten use to having them. I also find blending the protein powder with ice makes in more bearable, nice and cold and you can hardly taste them. I'm also having custard and thin yoghurt for something different. I've dropped another 5kgs since surgery. Hiccups and stomach gurgling seems to have gone, still quote sore, especially the site where they pull the stomach out from, but at least I'm mostly sleeping through the night now.
