Congrats on your weight loss, I am curious, as A guy that started close to the same weight as you if you tracked your weight loss as you went and what that looked like from month to month, I am five weeks out from surgery and down 32 , 42 from 1 week pre op diet. Wishing you continued success. -

February 2018 Success Stories
Tgrindle replied to kakatlady612's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sleeved 2/14 started at 287, day of surgery 277, currently 247. I keep a journal, weigh my food, eat with a baby spoon, time my meals, drink my fluids. Get on elliptical 30 min a day 3-4 times a week, just started doing very light weights. I try to always remember I got to where I was doing what “I wanted to do” and to get where I want to be I need to do what the doc/nut tell me to do. -

Head Hunger vs Stomach Hunger???!!!!
Tgrindle replied to lorena090's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
All doctors are different but mine allowed super free pudding, yogurt, and soups like tomato, any kind of cream soups ensuring they were strained or puréed for lump. One of my favorites was cream of potato with a sprinkle of cheese and real bacon bits puréed in a blender. -

Pureed /blended stage

Started purée today and made the ricotta bake, oh what cheesy goodness I have missed! It really does taste great. I had told my wife that I was afraid I would not know when I was full, well let me tell you 20 min and 2 ounces feels like after thanksgiving or Christmas dinner right about now. -

We will have bad moments, it may be a 1 min, hour, day, or week, it’s ok, your body is going through big changes. Just keep going, it already looks like you have been doing a great job.

I have to say yesterday day was one of the worst emotional days I have had. Started off great was able to walk a mile , stayed busy during the day. I have to take my son to a soccer camp about an hour away from home at a local university on Fridays so i walked around campus enjoying the warm weather. Afterwards he was so hungry I had to stop and let him eat. As we sat there all of these emotions started running through me, why did i do this? Am I going to be able to follow through? Will I be happy? Etc etc. we got home and I just went straight to bed, hoping today is better. On the bright side I usually average about 6.5 hours of sleep but got in nine last night
-
That rumble is most likely gas, as is the pain in your shoulder most likely. I had the same pain, walking was the only remedy and it did not come easy. If you need to sleep in a recliner then do so, I did for 1 or two nights and it helped. Keep you head up it gets better
-
Yep doc told me 45 min to an hour.
-
I had switched to decaf coffee a few weeks before my liquid diet so I would have that with the caramel premiere protein as a creamer. There are also ways you can freeze the protein shakes like ice cream. My doc had a protein bar that I could eat once a day. I would also chew on tangerines and spit out the flesh. To me by the 4th day it’s was pretty easygoing
-
Well I am a week out from my sleeve, I think things are going well, still some pain and discomfort but gets better everyday, I’m getting up in the morning and having a 10oz cup of decaf coffee with caramel Protein as a creamer, takes me about an hour to drink it. I’m having a cream Soup or lunch which I can get about 8 baby spoons full down before I’m stuffed. Then maybe a little yougurt at night, I have been walking some and using the nectar protein in Water so I can get close to my protein goal There have been some emotional breakdowns especially since my wife has gone back to work but I’m not regretting it.
