    January 2018 Sleevers HERE

Got my VGS on January 18, 2018. My beginning weight was 431 pounds and today I weighed in at 260 pounds. Ive dropped from a 5x to a 2x and from a 58 waist to a 42. I've noticed when my wieght stalls my pants and shirts tend to get looser. I'm hoping that in another year I can hit my goal of 200 pounds. I've given away or donated so many clothes that are way to big. Ive had to buy 3 belts!!!! This surgery has changed my life for the better. Let's keep on keeping on.!!!

    I just need to vent...

Maaaaaaaaaan.... We all go through it. Trust me the first 8 to 12 weeks are tough. Being Hispanic my mom would make Pupusas, tamales, tacos... I thought I had mad a mistake by having the surgery. Everything I ate gave me heartburn and it was hard on me. I was doubting the process...TRUST the process!! Once I started losing weight and my family, Co-workers, and friends noticed it motivated me even more. I'm 6 months post op and I am now able to enjoy the foods I love in moderation. Even if its half a tamale or 1 taco I'm satisfied. I feel proud that I can walk away without eating 3 plates of food. Stay the course and good luck!!
  3. Thats crap... There is no way your stomach will expand from carbonated drinks. I had my surgery January 18th, 2018 and I drank 2 coronas for the 1st time since my surgery at my daughters baby shower July 8th. I was able to drink them..not chug them down but 3 good sips at a time. I also found that Pepsi and Fresca dont upset my stomach. I drink a lot of unsweetened tea, juice, and water. I drink maybe a quarter of a bottle of soda a month.. I waited until I was 12 weeks post op to try a carbonated drink. . You will be fine.

14 Weeks Post Op - Multiple Stalls

Every time I hit a stall I increase my calories. Also when I hit a stall i notice that my clothes fit me looser and such. Im 14 weeks post op VSG and Ive lost a total of 90#'s. I feel like a new man, better husband, better father. This is a new lease on life and im going to make the most out of it. You look great by the way!!
  6. I had my surgery on the 18th of January..I've lost 40#'s. I had some complications after the surgery that prevented me to walk much but now I'm moving along. I noticed today that I didn't get winded walking around a grocery store or had to lean on something. I'm on stage 3 and I'm eating refried beans with scrambled eggs in the Am, chicken salad for lunch with 3 crackers, and for dinner it's 3 crackers with humus. I can't stand the protein shakes so I habe to figure out another way to get my protein.
