I was stuck for a shorter period of time and started taking probiotics and magically my weight started dropping pretty consistently. This was a suggested by my PCP. -

I wish I did have bigger bones. Before I put weight on I used to hear jokes such as you look like a stick figure or I could break your bones like I twig. I never thought those were funny even though people around me would laugh. That is one reason I do not want to get below 120. I don’t want to look like a stick figure again. -

I am 5’ and started at 200.5. I am currently at 167. My goal weight is 120 but my surgeon said that I could go even lower than that because I am very small boned. I am thinking that might be too small. -

It did help

I did for the first couple weeks. They sent me home with meds to help with it. It is gone now but it was scary at first.

I am a manager where I work and everyone under me knows the struggles I have had over the years with my weight. One day in a meeting with them I told them I was going to be off for a couple weeks to have surgery. The looks on their faces looked like gloom and doom. We are a very close group and a few days later in another meeting I just decided to lay it out on the table and to my surprise some of them started crying. They thought I was dying or something and did not want to tell them. They have been my biggest support group and now I am glad I spoke up. My husband and daughters knew as soon as I made the decision to pursue the surgery and they too have been very supportive but my siblings did not know until after surgery because I knew the comments I would get.

6 month medically supervised plan plan

I guess that is the difference in some of the doctors. I met my surgeon during the first appointment. -

6 month medically supervised plan plan

Yes I did. The appointments had to be spaced out exactly and if I missed one I had to start over. The dietician basically discussed good eating habits and gave me pointers. I was not put on any specific meal plan until after surgery. My insurance also required a Psychological evaluation. -
Have you talked to your surgeon about what he or she is willing to sign off on? 1 week sounds a little too soon to me but everybody is different. My surgeon said two weeks minimum and that is only if my job does not require me to lift anything. I was only able to work half days the first week I went back to work. My surgery was on January 3rd and I went back to work January 22.

Hello everybody. I had my surgery on 01/03/2018. SW 205.5 CW 178.6 I am still doing mostly liquids because I am having problems with solids. I too had a stall but my Dr said that it happens to everyone around the 3rd week. He said that it is our bodies adjusting to all the fluids lost in the beginning and then reabsorbing again. I would like to be able to just eat one thing without it hurting at this point and I thing I will be fine but it is just taking me longer to get there than normal. The doc assured me this will pass.
