CPAP Nightmare?!?!
blind unicorn replied to blind unicorn's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Update: the pulmonary Dr called and reviewed my download from my CPAP machine and determined that they need to decrease the pressure again. Lord I hope this works! -

CPAP Nightmare?!?!

Made it a whole hour and a half last night. I'm on the auto titrate from 8 to 12. Just think it's too much pressure for me. Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app -

CPAP Nightmare?!?!

I did do the overnight in the hospital. They've already decreased the pressure once and changed out my mask. I called the pulmonary doctor but haven't heard back from them yet. [emoji21] Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app -
CPAP Nightmare?!?!
blind unicorn replied to blind unicorn's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's kind of put a hold on my surgery I don't want to go into surgery without being able to breathe properly.. I'm soo sad that I'm just unable to adapt to the CPAP. I'm trying so hard but took it off again last night after 3 hours of use. The pressure in unnatural. Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app -

CPAP Nightmare?!?!

That's a great idea! I'll call the pulmonary Drs. It's been terrible these last 9 nights. I'm pre operation with lots of weight to lose. Just started with all the medical requirements for insurance. Sleep study...check... Occupational therapy... check... 5 or so more appointments to go. Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app -
I was recently diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea and was told I needed to use a CPAP machine whenever sleeping. I always had a problem with fatigue before but I'm plan tired now. This machine keeps me up all hours of the night. I've tried having the pressure reduced and have tried all the different masks. I just can't get use to this new addition to my life. Also it feels like I'm having a harder time than normal breathing while I'm awake. Has anyone else had problems adjusting to a CPAP?

my mother in law sent this in the mail today. She knows I'm on a supervised diet and getting ready for surgery. -
Smoking...struggling to quit for surgery
blind unicorn replied to vanelifejourney's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I tried everything to quit. Am allergic to the patch too. I used the gum it worked for me. The reason I didn't use the lozenges because they seemed chalky like sucking on tums. Now I have to get off the gum!!! Ha Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app -

You can find riced cauliflower in the frozen vegetable section of the supermarket. They are quick and convinent as they only take 4 minutes in the microwave. The cauliflower is super good for you and delicious as well.
