I had the same problem about a month ago, throwing up in my sleep, but I had to get an unfill . I could not get anything down without it coming back up. I felt horrible.

Congrats on your weight loss, no matter the amount job well done. I had surgery in Feb. 08 and have lost over 70 pounds, but I really can relate to happy not pbing and vomiting. :wink2: That is not for me. -
Well, don't get too discouraged. I can totally relate with being tight during cycle time. I experience that all the time along with the raging hormones that equal :smile2:. So, needless to say my doctor told me that the tightness is normal and nothing that I should be worried about. So,hopefully you will be able to continue deal with it. My husband always ask me do you like the new you or would you rather go back to the old you with all the health problems, in my case the new me is a lot better. Even though this roller coaster ride has been a wild one. I feel that it only can get better though as I continue to see my body change.

HELLO....................Stand up DIRTY SOUTH, MISSISSIPPI in the house. Thank GOD for a WOMEN OF COLOR FORUM. No disrespect to anyone. And............for the GRITS... There is nothing like cheese grits with some real bacon and sausage. Those days have practically come to an end for me though. I got my 4th fill today. I hope I can still eat my grits though, I'm a southern gal, with a new found attitude and now new body. I look forward to talking with each and everyone here. Going to the Dirty SOUTH next week. ..... -

Dallas, TX--need motivational kick to keep going
Sweetmeat replied to bigbaby's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Mommie of 4, I was banded Feb. 18 2008. I have lost over 70 pounds. My goal is still undetermined because I have found that the scales and the size of clothing varies. I have gone from an 18/20 to 12/14. Now, let me tell you that size has been interesting because I tried on a size ten about two weeks ago and got in it, but for me I feel I'm not ready until it hangs on or falls off. -

Dallas, TX--need motivational kick to keep going
Sweetmeat replied to bigbaby's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Justin is a small town up north of FortWorth, close to the Texas Motor Speedway. it sounds like we have a lot of DFW bandsters. I currently workout 3x a week, w/spouse . We usually do 30 min of cardio, and then we rotate between upper and lower body. But, let me tell you girlfriend I can use all the motivation I can get. I'm scheduled for a fill next week and not really looking forward to it because it usually takes me awhile to adjust. So, lets stay in touch.... -

I hope you are doing well, I'm in Justin, Tex. I had my lap band in Feb. 08. I have lost over 70 pounds and would love to be a buddy/mentor whatever. We can encourage and continue motivate each other. -
Yes, chew.........................this is the worst to me. Had this experience today and I thought I was going to die. My daughter and I were out to eat. Once, something gets stuck and that huge elephant sits on your chest, it's down hill from there. So, please chew and remember to take it slow.

No, that is not plaque. As a certified dental assistant for 16 years, I can tell you from experience that the vomiting that your are constantly doing is causing damage to your teeth. Please see you doctor about an unfill and also your dentist. Let me just give you a little story of a patient of mine. Even though you are not bulimic, the constant vomiting that you are doing is hurting your dental health. My patient was bulimic at one point and she finally found help. But, the sad thing is that the vomiting had damaged her teeth so bad that she ended up having all but two teeth restored due to the breakdown from the vomiting and malnutrition. So, please take care of yourself and be patient with the band. Oral health is so important, it will do no good to be skinny and have a horrible mouth. So, go see your surgeon and dentist soon. Take care of yourself.................

I was banded 02/18/08 weighing in @ 236. As on today I finally weighed in @ 190. I have had three fills so far. I'm hoping to be @175 or below by my wedding anniversary on 11/03. The only thing that is interesting is how the body responds to the band. I would like to hear from some of you as far as the shape the your body now. My complaint is "my muffin top" it is slowly going away though. Please chime in, would love to hear from you all....... CONTINUED SUCCESS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS DECIDED TO TAKE THE JOURNEY IN LAP BAND LAND.

Bandster Hell but Losing Weight
Sweetmeat replied to TangerineDreams's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I received my third fill one week ago and I really think that I have reached the sweet spot everyone has talked about. I was able to eat certain things before, that I can definitely no longer eat. I had my first vomitting episode since surgery on Feb. 18, 08. This was something that I don't want to go through again so I will be very careful with eating . Since, it has become hot in Texas I thought I could get away with something cold,not..................the spasm from the band was almost unbearable. Anyone want to chime in with something new feel free.
