Hello! I had my sleeve on 8/21/18 and I am finding myself in the same boat. I was told that this is normal because our bodies are going into "starvation mood." I was told to add some calories back into my day and that it will trigger my body to start losing weight again. I have noticed the scale move a little. I hope that this helps.

Hello All, I am only in the beginning of my journey. I met with a nutritionist yesterday and it didn't go well. She basically told me that I will never be able to eat anything other than mush for the rest of my life. I got really freaked out. The thought of never having a bite of chicken or even a raw carrot scared me. I don't want to cancel everything, because this is a life changer for me and can give me the life that I have always wanted. But the thought of living a life where I can't even eat a raw carrot sounds horrible. Any one who has gone through the process have some thoughts? Thanks!

Yes, I was required to see one. The more that I think about the experience, the more I think she was not educated about it.

Nope. I have no medical reason to only eat mush. That is why I thought it was a little weird.

I have PacificSource. I had to meet with a therapist, dietitian and have 6 appointments with the surgeon over 6 months. I am already one appointment down.

Hello! I am new to all of this as well. I have just started my journey on Jan. 3rd. My insurance requires a 6 month process before I am able to have surgery. I have been trying to find others in a similar situation. I am nervous about everything is going on. I am hoping to be able to learn from others on the site. About me: My name is Ashara, I am 26 years old and I work in a medical center doing many different things.
