You need to start contributing to the cardio stories soon, I can't be the only one around here hitting the gym

More oversharing ... had no idea until recently that emoji meant hugs. I thought it meant "excited", like jazz hands. Once I realized I tried to think back if I inappropriately sent hugs to any one, like customers, or my boss ... still unsure ...

... maybe I'm the weirdo, am not creeped out! So in the spirit of oversharing ... cardio was cancelled for tonight. Workout partner is ill.

I live vicariously through your oversharing .... don't stop ..... (and yours too @FluffyChix)
  6. False modesty ... I don't have those cheekbones, those collar bones, the ability to be 5'3" but pull off outfits that make me look 5'9", those beautiful and dramatic dreads. And I definitely don't have the ability to bag two men in the wild, in one week!
  7. Lol ... you are clearly talking about yourself
  8. Nothing much to report here ... I feel like I'm really lucky right now. I'm not doing IF nor eating particularly well, and am losing. If I can continue to lose slowly like this, I will be over the moon excited! Oh, and for those of you that expressed interest in an Air Fryer ... this showed up in my email as early Black Friday https://www.walmart.com/ip/Farberware-3-2-Quart-Digital-Oil-Less-Fryer-Black/722613447?adid=1500000000000042427624&sent_time=1541695121215&veh=eml&campaign_id=110718-BAT-XCT-CMP-BFTabPM2-fy19holiday-LO-CONTROL_10--3-optcl&e_id=fb844ae804a8cc9c4a8118fc9c391e29&e_pgcid=rmkHyw6gNkMa4CgkSZpHgM-bPW3vTXcH7afalylwGH1dJZTcu0SP0D6gc1NtE9F-
  9. Ugh, sorry @Matt Z ... keep your head up and focus on how fabulous you look

I'm with @FluffyChix ... flattering lighting, and confidence! Just rock his world a few times in the dark, or dim lighting, so you are comfortable and confident. Then once the lights come on, he'll already be thinking you're a sex goddess and he'll be crazy about every bit of you. I'm speaking from experience .... just entered a relationship after losing 80 lbs (and losing nearly 20 more since), and before plastics. I hate the way I look naked, but he thinks I'm sexy af

You met men in the wild!?!? That doesn't even seem possible these days!
  14. I think we are the same person!
  15. I work from home, when I'm not traveling. Desk job of emails, spreadsheets and conference calls while at home. I technically took no time off. I worked the morning before surgery and the next day both at the hospital and once I got home. I didn't travel for 2 weeks, and then at 3 weeks post op started work travel and have traveled nearly weekly since.
  16. I think it is false to assume that different means better or safer. US liability laws are a mixed bag, do they sometimes make us safer, sure. But they certainly make our medical care more expensive.

Feeling hungry 5 months post op

I agree with this. I have found the more often I eat, the more often I get hungry, creating a vicious cycle. If I can fight off a wave of hunger, it will extinguish the hunger for many hours. It is hard at first, but then, IME, the hunger just diminishes for the most part. I also drink, drink, drink, and busy/distract myself when fighting off the hunger.
  18. Man, isn't the feeling of being in control amazing .... we can splurge and then turn it back around!
  19. I wouldn't limit myself to 7, I'd have one in every color imaginable .... kelly green, lime green, forest green, lemon yellow, mustard yellow, coral, safety vest orange ......
  20. I have found very little rhyme or reason for my loss in general. So no help on this, sorry!
  21. I'm picturing the recyclables overflowing with empty Voss bottles
  22. Update from me ... vacay was amazing! Had wine, gelato, pasta, salami, and then some every day. I enjoyed every minute of it! Drumroll .... down 1.2 lbs since my pre-vacation weigh in! I'm a little surprised. Although I did more walking than I do on the regular. The weather was crap, so didn't walk nearly as much as I would have otherwise. Took a lot of taxi's and ducked into to a lot more enotecas than planned, to get out of the rain. Other than being asked after every meal if there was something wrong with it, I'm loving vacationing post WLS. - I don't feel like the fat American, especially when ordering gelato - My feet didn't hurt! Even on days I walked 5 plus miles! I was able to wear boots, vs. sneakers some day which were cuter and better suited for the weather. - Shopping! I was able to go into regular shops and find clothes. I bought some over the knee boots, a dress, a T-shirts, and 3 jackets (2 of them leather, so gorgeous!). Of course in the biker style leather jacket I was the largest size they had, but whatever! The downside is, this was an expensive trip! So now, I have to find a way to get back on the wagon. I definitely find that IF keeps my hunger at bay. The more I eat, the more hungry I am. So coming back from vacay is a b*tch from that perspective. I was able to have a moderately long IF window between lunch/dinner last night and breakfast this morning. Crap choices, but at least a decent fasting window. I'm back traveling this week, which makes IF difficult or impossible most days. But we'll see if I can start IF, and make wise choices again when I return home at the end of this week.
  23. I'm back from vacay! (Well sorta, I'm on another work trip, wasn't home for long!) So much to catch up on here! @redhead_che Welcome! I have long admired your amazing bikini pic, seriously green with envy! Glad you are finding IF easy and effective. I also find fasting in the morning to be far easier than at night! @Sosewsue61 ... your food looks delish! Hope you feel better soon! @Matt Z ... Ugh, so sorry you're dealing with all that. I think it's really good you acknowledge the 200 lb goal is arbitrary and doesn't lessen the incredible success you have had. Doesn't make it feel better though! I also admire you for going to the gym while dealing with shingles. The mountain climbing is awesome, and would scare the sh*t out of me! @FluffyChix Yay on hitting the 150 goal!!! And a 39 hr fast, yowza! Your lunch doesn't look bad to me at all. I'm sure with the salami and pimento cheese it was higher fat than your norm, but not like it was potato chips! @GreenTealael ... look at you wearing your 12 year old's clothes looking all lean with those cheekbones! You look fantastic! You always look so much taller than you really are! I'm with Fluffy, I'm loving wearing tight fitting clothes. I also see it as only a limited amount of time before I look like a ridiculous granny wearing clothes from Forever21
