I'm sure you figured out dinner by now ... but I've been really enjoying grain salads lately, farro, barley, quinoa. Also esquites (mexican street corn) has been showing up on all kinds of menus, and I can never resist ordering it! ❤️ -

I'm not sure why you've decided to discontinue posting your meals, no one, including myself suggested that. As many have stated, including yourself, this thread should represent a diversity of eating plans. -

Not to speak for @GreenTealael, but I saw her as responding to you questioning if you should post your meals. Again speaking for both of us (correct me if I'm wrong GT), I think we are both saying to continue posting, but that there are other philosophies that have lead to success. I will not continue to post my meals here. I am so extreme, I do think it sets a poor example for people who might stumble into this thread. But I do think you and @ms.sss are extreme on the other side. I'm not saying it's necessarily a bad thing, it's working for both of you. You are both very satisfied with your lifestyle, which is more than most people can say. But just as I would never want a newbie to think they can eat the amount of crap I do, I also wouldn't want a newbie to think that such a regimented diet is still required at a healthy BMI. -

Zinc also makes me nauseous. Is it a supplement your surgeon requires you to take, beyond what is included in your multi? -

I count my calories pretty meticulously as well. It's my way of keeping myself honest. What prompted me to ask, were things like, saving your cals up for KBBQ dinner & using low cal dressing vs. a full fat dressing For me making the switch to high calorie dressing was one of the first things I did to slow my weight loss. I also feel super virtuous when I have KBBQ (or Brazillian steakhouse, or shabu shabu, or hot pot). It has never felt like a splurge for me, even during my WL phase. So those things really stuck out to me (along with shirataki noodles, I cannot get over the smell 🤮) -

Some would definitely hate me! 🤣 I think we are, or at least were, very similar with the amount of restriction. Mine was pretty extreme, which I was grateful for, most of the time. Near the 1 yr mark my relaxed pretty significantly. I can eat enough now that it doesn't usually attract attention when I eat out. We are also pretty similar in that I didn't have much physical hunger for a long time. Even now mine is pretty controllable if I fast & push liquids. Here's my brunch yesterday (Hush puppies covered with sausage gravy & bacon) As the picture illustrates, I get my calories in by eating pretty calorie dense foods, by eating frequently, & liquid calories (ie alcohol) (I don't drink daily, but I'm by definition a binge drinker) -

It's better professionally that I can handle my liquor. When I'm footing the bill I wish I was a cheaper drunk! 🤣 -
I posted this list a while back ago: They have tons of hummus and an eggplant dip that is basically baba ghanoush, (and is low cal) Their Kettle Cooked Chicken Soup tastes homemade, but has significant chunks of chicken in it. It's in the refridgerated section near the premade wraps, fresh pasta etc. Check the date, it's always super short coded near me Their Plain Greek Yogurt 0% Fat, in a 32 oz container (blue) is really high protein. Downside it tastes really really yogurt-y. They have individual size flavored yogurts that are similar to Oikos triple zero I like their Soy Ginger Cod in the frozen section & their Argentinian Red Shrimp Love their Tomato and Roasted Red Pepper Soup, in an aseptic box. Other soups in that area are good too, like Chicken and Wild Rice and Split Pea (Miso in the box is terrible). Lots of people love the butternut squash, but I find it a little sweet. For a sweet treat, their Latte Bars are only 40 cals, in the ice cream section. Frozen Gyoza, chicken and pork aren't too bad calorie wise, and hit the spot for an asian craving. Chicken Cilantro mini wontons are also delicious (doesn't really taste like cilantro though) Frozen meal of Fish Korma and Chicken Tikka are at or near restaurant quality. Not bad if you don't eat the rice. Their Traditional Marinara sauce is the lowest cal I've seen, tastes great. Turkey Meatballs are good. (Frozen) Egg white protein powder is a good flavorless mix in, but doesn't blend great Green Godness salad dressing in the refrigerated section near the bagged salad is good Precooked steamed beets are good. (near salad mixes) Jarred pickled beets are good (might be seasonal) They have interesting, well priced season grinders or shakers with the spices to jazz up our sometime unexciting food Mahi Burgers and Lime Chili Chicken burgers. low cal and high protein, good to eat on their own. That have lots of varieties of chicken & turkey sausage

Intermittent Fasting Daily Menu/Results/Accountability

Silver lining @FluffyChix ... goal #3 is in your grasp! I was going to do OMAD on Friday, but pretty much a fail! I didn't break my fast until after 9pm, so over 24 hr fast, yay. But then had beer, then dinner, then lots more beer, then 2 am street taco. I guess it turned into an 18:6, oops 😂 Today will be an accidental IF day, since I didn't eat my first meal until right now. Probably another 18:6 -

Might very well be a fluke. I dropped two lbs between Friday to today. I'm chalking it up to cardio 😂 -
Checking in ... Weighed in at 126.6 this morning. So happy I have some cushion to stay under 130. Walked 1+ miles 10/12 days (thanks airports, trade show, and bar hopping 😂) 10, 11 & 12 - smiling + music + dance party Went dancing Friday and Saturday night so I think I covered all of those bases 😁 Best compliment Co-worker / good friend, whom is gorgeous and has very high standards in women, tells me in his southern drawl "Damn girl, you look amazing! You must have lost 30 lbs!" (I had lost 80 at that point)

Thanks for the well thought out response Want to start out by saying you look fabulous, and not underweight in any way, anyone who tells you to eat a sandwich can GTFO. I also think a low carb lifestyle can be sustainable. (I mean, it sounds like a living hell, but that's just me, lol) Have you considered if you are calorie phobic, and not just carb phobic? -

sillykitty replied to ms.sss's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I've actually been thinking a lot about this over the weekend. I definitely won't be posting my daily menu on here. I wouldn't have posted it up when I was in weight loss mode, because I ate off plan frequently, and still lost rapidly. And now in maintenance, my BMR appears to be much higher than it really should be. I averaged 2300 cals/day over the last month, and am down 3 lbs. (do you hate me now?) So I think if I posted what I ate, at any stage, it would give people false hope. I attribute my success to luck more than anything else. And you can't count on luck. What really matters, IMO, is what your BMR is, and eating at or below it. As you said there are too many variables to account for that. But I appear to be not only an outlier, but maybe even an extreme outlier. On the other hand, maybe yours and @ms.sss menu's could have the opposite effect? If when I was contemplating surgery, I read these menu's of women with healthy BMI's eating so little and/or so strictly, IDK, maybe that would have potentially discouraged me. -
This thread moves fast! You all look fantastic. Glad to see such a diversity of OOTD's!
