That sounds reallllly high. I know friends who have gotten mommy makeovers and paid less total than that surgery center charge Is it just a function of being in a small market? They have a captive audience and can charge whatever the heck they want?
  2. Food funerals are not an unusual thing. No need to beat yourself up for feeling this way I had 3 weeks between approval & surgery with no liquid diet. I got all kinds of foods and cravings out of my system. It didn’t hinder my post op success

    Foods that make you dump

To add ... it seems to diminish or potentially go away the further post op I get. The last 2 times I had VC I drank very slowly and didn’t dump

    Foods that make you dump

The only thing that has made me dump almost every time is Vietnamese coffee. I get extremely nauseous and my heart races. I assume it is the liquid sugar maybe combined with caffeine

No more or less comfortable than I was pre WLS
  6. Dreaming of food sounds more like head hunger than physical hunger. Hunger pains are very likely to be stomach acid

    The Maintenance Thread

Sounds like you had a great vacation @ms.sss. It will be interesting to learn what your BMR ends up being. Curious to know if it's in the low 2K like mine. "did sample many things .... but only bites, not full portions. My restriction took care of that. Also thanks to my restriction, I learned after the first day that I need to pick and choose what I want to sample, because I literally have no room to try everything ...So I only tried the stuff I really wanted to, and if after sampling it, it was only OK tasting, I'd put it aside. Only really yummy stuff got a second or third bite. It's sobering to realize that a lot of stuff really only looks good, and just tastes meh." This is me as well "I was basically a bottomless pit for skinny mojitos and tequila shots. beer, wine and vodka soda" Also me 😂

    im not going POO!

You really don't need to do this. There is a whole range of normal bm frequency. If you are eating very little food, and even less fiber, then you just don't have a lot in you to need to go everyday https://www.health.com/digestive-health/how-often-should-you-poop

Chiming in @Deedee12 ... the gym will still be there, after you heal. Give your body a chance to recover first

I was intolerant of whey protein post surgery. Anything with any significant amount of whey made me miserably nauseous. Thankfully it resolved itself. It's a pretty narrow range of supplements that don't include whey. And once you exclude pea too (agree w @mousecat88, 🤮), it gets even tougher.
  14. Thank you Michael (for the record I'm not old either )

Another day, another smoked sausage thingamajig. How consistent, then inconsistent my restriction can be sometimes surprises me.

You should see the potholder I tried to crochet once. I don't think I can be trusted with actual clothes I want to wear outside the house. Can you just move next door instead? 😊

No, and I have to have a lot of my clothes altered, because I'm short I use my dry cleaner for the simple stuff, not too pricey, but it adds up. For anything that is more complicated than hemming I take it to an actual tailor, and that is expensive!
  22. In my opinion, and in my experience, it is better to have some explanation for time off, rapid weight loss, changed eating etc., whether it be the truth or a lie, then by using some form of "none of your business" Even in a work environment, you form relationships on various levels. Shutting people out doesn't engender positive feelings or trust. Take for example, my president saw my rapid weight loss, eating very small portions & not drinking. He asked me if I was ok, and what was going on. I could have told him some for of, "I don't want to talk about it". Realistically though, I may keep my privacy, but make him feel as though I don't find him trustworthy, and make him continue to worry about my health, and my ability to continue to do my job. None of those things are good for my career. Was he asking solely because he cares about me, of course not. But he has the right to be concerned about if my health was impacting my ability to be effective short or long term. My point is, here is often a difference between what someone is obligated to do, and what is the best option.

No personal experience with them, but WonderSlim brand seem to be mostly soy based & available on amazon

    im not going POO!

There is a wide range of normal regularity. 2-3 times a day is at one extreme, and every 4 or so days is at the other.

    What am I doing wrong

The only thing you're doing wrong is being impatient It will come off, just not always where you want it to come from
