Here's my outfit from yesterday. Meetings all day I bought the black leather trench is Italy last year, and as I mentioned, I'm a clothes hoarder, I had never worn it until yesterday
-
That looks fantastic. I agree, that is better use for the fabric belt. I have actually not worn mine yet, outside of trying it on and posting pics on here I'm a semi clothes hoarder, I have more far clothes than I actually need @FluffyChix you take off the belt, sling it over your shoulder like a WWE belt. You shimmy out of the top. So you're squatting over the toilet in your bra with the rest of your outfit gathered around your knees. It looks totally dignified, I promise

Food Before and After Photos

That looks amazing! If you run across the recipe, can you repost? -
So funny, I just bought my first sweater dress. It looks great on you! I think you could size down, and it would be even more flattering, emphasizing your hour glass figure
-
LOVE! 😍 We definitely need pics when that comes in!
-
That was me! It looks fantastic on you! Even if we did show up at the same dinner party, we'd just look like fashinoista twin Good to know on the tailoring, I was just planning to safety pin the v neck closed!

Thanks! Here you go https://smile.amazon.com/MeMoi-Wide-Rib-Stretch-Corduroy-Leggings/dp/B00MYCALPQ?ref_=ast_bbp_dp&th=1 (I may own all of them except the Navy Blue, and that might one be in my cart currently just waiting for a moment of weakness 😂)

Very cute dress, and I like the length. But I think it looks too ig on you. It is overwhelming your figure a bit You're not missing out on anything living in a small town, shopping wise. I live in the opposite of a small town, and I do 95% of my shopping online. Amazon, Old Navy, Macy's & Nordstrom all make returns by mail/UPS super easy.

Well that explains why my bf keeps asking me if I have lost more weight 🤣 I still haven't come to terms with new figure. In some ways it's intoxicating because I have never felt "skinny" like I do now. But on the other hand, I really miss my curves. This pic is me, one year ago, 20 lbs heavier. I prefer my body here, with exception of my tummy. Considering that's all getting LBL'd off anyway .... sigh ...

Perfect, I much prefer to shop in my pjs on my couch anyway 😂 -
Amped up Pure Protein Bars

Thanks @Orchids&Dragons, that's a huge improvement of the cals to protein ratio! Good to know. What are your favorite flavors? -
Thanks! Most of my pants are tight enough they act as their own spanx. These are particularly so, I heard a few stiches pop when I pulled them on this morning 😳 😂 I'm surprised at how thin my thighs have gotten. Far thinner then they were when I was younger and close to this weight. My naked thighs are probably my least favorite feature. My ps thinks he can get a good result and eliminate most of the draping with my LBL alone. I'm excited and hopeful!

@FluffyChix Your post about maintaining at slightly higher cals than you had anticipated is part of what got me thinking about this. I agree with almost everything you said. I'd be curious to see what your upper limit to maintain is. I honestly don't know mine. I've had no gains that stuck even with when I have consumed way over my 2Kish average, even for a sustained amount of time, like @ms.sss This though ....it's not maintenance for me, it's simply gaining and losing the same 5 lbs ... that is maintenance. I don't think it is physically possible to stay at a static weight I mean most people don't weigh themselves everyday. Only crazy people like us 🤣 A gain or loss of 5 lbs is completely invisible to me, I can't feel it in my clothes or see if in the mirror. So I imagine that's true of most people, if not even more so because we are hyper aware around here. Below is my chart for the last 6 months. I fluctuate within 5 lbs. As long as I don't go over my "line in the sand" (130) for more than a day then it is business as usual for me. So maybe you are fighting a battle that doesn't need to be fought?

Travel day, then to a casual dinner This tunic is one of the few holdovers I have from pre WLS
-
@Cheeseburgh I get what you're saying. I don't accessorize a lot, so if I do it feels like "dressing up". That said, I think it looks great with that outfit. Looks totally normal for errand running etc.

I've been thinking a lot about BMR, and why I maintain on higher cals, while others maintain on so much less. There is nothing special about me that I should be such an outlier. I'm not particularly muscular, barley active at all. I got to be MO not by any extreme type of binge eating, just your typical eating too much & too poorly. Just an idea ... but those that maintain on sub 1500 cals, do you think it is possible you could maintain at higher cals? Is your body just at a set point, and it's staying stable because you don't have much more fat to lose? Have anyone flexed their cals up, gotten past an initial bounce, and then seen the scale go back down? This is a small, self selecting subsection here on BP. In general we are here because we are more dedicated, and compliant than your average WLS patient, IMO. Is there a whole other world out there of WLS patients not tracking and eating freely, and maintaining at whatever weight they are comfortable with? Or even some on BP who don't post about their diet because their experience is different than most everything they read here? Also, this is considered metabolic surgery, right? Part of the science behind it is it is a positive metabolic affect. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/13/well/why-weight-loss-surgery-works-when-diets-dont.html https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3920787/ https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2014/03/140326142209.htm http://clinchem.aaccjnls.org/content/64/1/72 https://www.nature.com/news/weight-loss-surgery-a-gut-wrenching-question-1.15560 https://www.vox.com/science-and-health/2017/12/7/16587316/bariatric-surgery-weight-loss-lap-band https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rPoeYfOm8I https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5485884/ So .. I'm not sure what to make of all this, just that I can't be all alone .... right??
-
I could have written all of this .... I was planning to let a bounce happen, and float up +10 lbs or so post ps. Like you, I liked my body better when I was a bit heavier. I also figured it might fill out some of the areas not fixed my plastics. But my surgeon was adamant that surgery weight - weight skin removed be your forever weight. Can't say I'm totally comfortable with that.

Loving all the jean jackets. Look what you started @Cheeseburgh! We even styled ours the same way @KaysMommy @FluffyChix I get the tummy trade off, but IMO it's worth it, and IME I feel thinner overall in fitted vs loose clothing. Also, faux spanx are good for the tummy & the butt! Love the bell sleeves & the mules @AngieBear Still digging the neutrals. Cute loafers! @ms.sss I've always wanted Hunter rain boots. I can't justify them, endless drought + limited closet space. I suspect I'll be online drunk shopping one day, and they'll be at my door soon after 🤣 @GreenTealael great, now I've added a jean jumpsuit to my must haves. All your fault!

I think you are over estimating how far my dry cleaners is from my house, or how often I need clothes dry cleaned. 🤣
-
I think we all know the answer to this 😂
-
Like it wasn't already 🤣
-
One would think Dexa would be more accurate, but not in my case.
-
Got it. Might want to take that with a grain of salt. My Dexa scan put me at 1282, which is somewhere close to 2/3-1/2 of what I maintain at.
-
My online calculator BMR is 1380. My BMR from my Dexa scan is 1282. I maintain averaging 2000-ish calories (Doing practically no exercise)
