Have you tried kabocha squash? I roasted and mashed it with only salt. I was shocked at how good it was.

People are going to judge, and judge on a variety criteria, your car, you zip code, you accent etc. That's unavoidable IMO, But if an attractive, thin, fit man or woman had a cart full of chips, frozen pizza, Hamburger Helper and ice cream. Would they be judged as harshly or even at all? Why is that same food fine for someone skinny, but is interpreted as some kind of moral failing if it's in a MO person's cart? I feel like the dichotomy between "fat people food" and "skinny people food" is false. Skinny people eat Cheetos, and fat people eat Zoodles. The same food is viewed through completely different lenses depending upon who's pushing the cart.

See if you can find a good deal on one for Black Friday. 😃 I’m actually going to sous vide two boneless turkey breasts for Thanksgiving this year vs roasting a whole bird due to hosting a much smaller group than normal. The plan is to sous vide with an herb butter then broil to get it golden brown. I’m excited about having a hopefully juicy breast vs one that’s overly dry

No ... I don't mess with most ethnic food. I always find mind own versions to be disappointing and expensive vs. ordering take out. -
I think that is the thing ... why is there the thought process that there is "food that skinny people eat" and "food that fat people eat"? There is literally just food.

I was thinking bigger and longer as well. I want DRAMA without being cartoonish. Back to the drawing board ....

My Plastic Surgery Thread
sillykitty replied to sillykitty's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I totally get this ... Long term I anticipate getting a face lift. Post plastics, I have a super duper big important week long meeting. I'm considering getting a peel and or hydrodermabrasian + nasolabial fold filler. Like a tiny mini face lift But I also encourage you to be at a stable weight for facial plastics as well. I was just looking through pics of when my bf and I first met 15 months ago, I was +20 lbs-ish, my face changed sooo dramatically. (Almost as dramatically as my boobs! 🤣) I also get the knee and thigh thing. I don't love my knees, and I hate my thighs. I'm curious to see how much they will improve from the LBL (I don't expect my knees to improve much, if at all). I really don't see myself ever getting a thigh lift -
Me too ... this was my first attempt at it, not encouraging! 😂 In hindsight, this just isn't the right jacket. It doesn't even look great on the model.

Funny, a perfectly rare steak w a beautiful crust was a big reason I bought my sous vide .... but I have yet to attempt one

Want to see a fashion fail? So in my head this was fun and flirty ... reality ... BIG BIRD 🤣 😲

Love the stripes! But I wouldn't be so sure about being permanently stalled out. We have seen quite a few times in the maintenance thread that weight loss can continue after a prolonged stall and/or below where people believed their stop point would be

I think there is another side to it .... I am so grateful to be free from the judgement I felt as when I was MO. I like not being judged for what's in my shopping cart. No one bats an eye when a skinny person orders a double cheeseburger. When you're MO it's like you can't win. You have a shopping cart full of kale and people think, "who is she kidding"

Sous vide has become my pork secret weapon. Keeps it soo moist and juicy! (Chicken secret weapon too) This jerk marinade tastes pretty authentic to me. (If you can get it in Canada!) https://smile.amazon.com/Busha-Browne-Jerk-Seasoning-Rub/dp/B0079FMZ48/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=Busha+Browne+Jerk+Seasoning+Rub&qid=1574269059&s=grocery&sr=1-5 You can sous vide a tenderloin in the marinade to the rare side of med rare, then gill over high heat to get the char. Do Canadians grill in the winter??

My Plastic Surgery Thread
sillykitty replied to sillykitty's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
No worries about hijacking this post, it's all good! I agree if anyone wants answers from a broader group then is participating in this thread, then their own post would be advised. Isn't it funny, we all have our ideal body type. Mine is total 50's pin up, wasp waist and curves for days! I wasn't put off at all about what my pcp for the day had to say. It was just annoying he would presume to know more than I do about my body or plastics. Just a bummer to choose another dr.'s office. I've never been to this one in 3+ years, but it is walking distance from my house! As far as timing of plastics. My answer now is very different than it would have been a year ago. I was super impatient for plastics, as I am about most things in life 🤣. I am grateful I am having this surgery at 22 months out vs. 10 months or even 18 months. First, no one can really predict where their final weight will end up at. We've seen it repeatedly in the maintenance thread, people think they are permanently stalled out, or have happily reach goal but then drop some more. And for me, those last 15-20 lbs made a HUGE physical difference. (RIP boobs & butt ) Getting a breast aug when I was 10 lbs heavier would have been disasteroius. Also even though I have been within a 5 lb range for 10 or so months, my body has shifted and changed. I can't put my finger on exactly how. But I know my butt has kinda slid down, in a not very attractive way 😂. Also my waist has gotten smaller, potentially also having slid into my pooch? I can mainly tell because some of my favorite clothes from 9 months ago are now a little baggy So my advice from an (incomplete) study of 1 ... I'd really suggest being at a stable weight for at least 6 months. I really think the result will be better if your body is more settled. -

Glad you're doing so well @mousecat88! I'll be following along closely! -
Travel day today. You've seen all these pieces separately, including my bf's favorite jeans 🤣(Another airport bathroom selfie as well!) Casual business dinner once I arrive, might switch to my snakeskin boots if I feel up to it.

@Sophie7713 Agree that Champion is totally on trend. Love the plaid! It's also my latest obsession along w animal prints! My mom has a Scottie, everything he owns is tartan 😂
-
I did ... and a few other pairs as well With my ps coming up I don't even know if I'll get a chance to wear them all beforehand
-
Late to the party ... but agree the necklace totally makes the higher neckline of the tshirt a non issue. You look fab And animal prints better stay in style for the next decade so I can get my money's out of my recent wardrobe "investments" 🤣
