Can I eat whole wheat bread

Dissenting voice on this. I had a very varied diet during my weight loss stage. A turkey or ham sandwich was something I had from time to time. Not like this is the worst option ever, or even qualifies as a poor choice IMO

    Things feel the same

Different surgeons follow different protocols. Some go straight to soft foods. It’s unusual but not unheard of. As long as their surgeon’s program is being followed then they should be fine

  6. Ok, it's decided, you need to split your winters between @Sophie7713 and me. It's not a vacation, it's therapy!

  11. I'm sure others will chime in with more suggestions. But nuts are a good start, as are nut butters. Adding healthy oils to your food, like cook some eggs in olive or avocado oil, and add some cheese. Whole grains are a good option too, especially since you're working out. You can ease into it and learn to trust yourself.
  12. This is the mental switch from weight loss mode to maintenance. When you are early out and have a lot of restriction, filling foods and upping your calories are incompatible. You need to eat some slider foods. And concur with @catwoman7, you will likely be able to maintain at 2K+. I'm an early 40's woman, who's not active and I maintain around 2K or so.
  13. Glad you are doing so well @Sophie7713!

There is a benefit to aspiring to a pin up vs a fitness model aesthetic. I can buy my curves, muscles not so much 😂

    🎈 Pity Party🎈

Oh no! I have't done a purge, yet, but the jumpsuit will survive! I actually need to take your advice and head to the tailor and have the neckline augmented w the fabric from the belt. Post boob job, it's no longer work appropriate 😳

  17. Concur, food funerals are common. I had no pre op diet and I got all kinds of cravings out of my system in the 3 weeks between approval and my surgery date. It didn't negatively affect my post WLS success.

    Surgeon Recommendations

I consulted with the surgeons bolded, plus Dr Agha in Newport Beach, Dr Stoker in Marina Del Rey & Dr Hurwitz in Pittsburgh. I only considered surgeons who specialize in Massive Weight Loss patients

    My Plastic Surgery Thread

Wow #1 - My bf tells me if I exercise there are these things called muscles that may show through my flat tummy. I think it might be an urban legend tbh ... Wow #2 - I think a happy accident? The nurse asked me what my goals were (look younger, fill my nasolabial folds), poked and prodded my face a little, then stated injecting. We didn't discuss my asymmetry because really never think about it unless I see a close up pic of myself (don't really see it looking in the mirror, idk why?).
  20. The value of this thread for me, early on in the process, was seeing that one doesn't have to be perfect to be successful. I know myself, and know I am incapable of sticking to a very strict diet long term. Most BP posters preach rigorous compliance ... and that's not me. This thread gives insight that not everyone is perfect as is sometimes portrayed, and yet the weight still comes off.

I have nearly the same dress https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JB6DSFZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&th=1&psc=1 It's a great dress, but it's pretty unforgiving in the tummy area. The ruching looks nice, but hides nothing If you're ok with that, then I think the darker the dress, the more camouflaging it will be.

    Tomorrow is surgery day, question!

    Agree, Scopalamine patch is magic
  23. Zero calorie fillers like Shirataki noodles IMO aren't compatible with both fasting and maintaining. How about Edamame pasta instead?

    Is it wrong ?

I had zero health issues from my weight, so my motivation was 90% vanity. I certainly don't think I am a horrible person.
