Ok, bummer, because I hated other brands of protein water, but did like the Protein20 -

Is this the one you tried? https://www.walmart.com/ip/Protein2o-Protein-Infused-Water-Variety-Pack-15g-Protein-12-Ct/54393878 -
Glad I sat on this response for a day until the sun is shining and you're well rested Your psych 101-ing is pretty similar to my thoughts when I read your post. You're spinning right now and looking for something you can control. Since you know you can be hyper disciplined with food, that's easier than figuring out what is really driving your sense of being out of control. I think everyone gets into the same places as you are right now. But being able to step back and acknowledge that it might not be healthy, and being willing to make changes if needed is the important difference.

What is happening?!?!
sillykitty replied to LessFee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not everyone is "driving them self nuts with the scales". Many of us are perfectly capable of weighing regularly and still keeping it all in perspective. There is not only one path to weight loss success. What works for you may not work for someone else. There are a lot of bariatric rules I do not follow. But logging all my food and weighing myself regularly was critical to my success in my weight loss phase, and continues to be now that I am in maintenance -
Just not hungry...

I agree to embrace any hunger free time frames you have. It is unlikely to last long term. So you can minimize your cals at this time and ramp up your weight loss. I don't think there are any short term issues with missing your protein goals, but longer term it very well might be. I second the suggestion of Protein H2O, it doesn't have that weird protein flavor to it. I became whey intolerant for a while post op, so I had to try out a lot of different protein shakes and powders. My favorite was Medifast Dutch Chocolate Shake blended with Fairlife and ice. If you use 1.5 cups of milk, the shake comes out to 33 g of protein, so a nice boost for the day. It's ridiculously overpriced and the autoship program is scammy, but at least I didn't dread drinking it! -
I think there is a distinction between fluctuations and true gains. IMO, if the scales goes up and stays there more than a few days (without extenuating circumstances like swelling), then that's reason to cut back, exercise more and get back to your weight comfort zone. But reacting to every scale fluctuation and constantly going back into the WLM would be maddening for me. It reminds me of Don Quixote fighting windmills. I have been maintaining for pretty much a year now. That doesn't mean my weight has been steady, or that I haven't gone over my red line of 130 lbs. But without any deliberate diet changes, I have never stayed outside of my comfort zone for more than a few days. I don't know if at some point this will change, and I don't recover from a bounce without diet intervention. But I'm willing to test the boundaries of my metabolism.

As you know, I get the frustration over belly swelling. I'll totally attend your pity party. But, we both know it is swelling, not fat causing the snugness. So losing weight doesn't seem like the solution to me. You even had lipo, so what fat cells are even left in those areas to shrink? I think the fact you are eating more sugar and exercising less, but still have had no real gain, speaks to the resiliency of your metabolism. I would REJOICE in the fact that at least for now, you can have some diet flexibility and still keep the weight off. I get feeling blah, and wanting to take some control. But wonder why your diet is the area you're choosing to focus?

How are they, and recipe please!? -
Considering you're so close post op from major surgery, and have visible swelling, I think that you may be a little over the top. My weight spiked for a little bit. I wasn't visibly anymore swollen then I was pre-spike. I was a little concerned and considered, you know, watching what I eat 😨. But then the scale started coming down again with no change whatsoever to calories, macros, exercise etc..

I actually bought the mini waffle maker to do just this. My plan was to make cheddar chaffles w spicy almond flour breaded tenders, and sf syrup mixed w real maple syrup (can't stomach sf alone), side of okra fritters (almond four to bind). Haven't gotten around to making them yet though ☹️ -

Good idea on the chocolate covered fruit! Wanted to take the candy along on a weekend getaway, so would love some ideas that wouldn't need refrigeration. -

Honey isn't a usual condiment, for sure. Hot (spicy) honey is a bit of a thing right now. It was a savory sweet combo, similar to chicken and waffles (fried chicken, waffles & maple syrup) The cheesy grits/hot honey was ok, not amazing, hot honey/ mac and cheese was a miss, hot honey with the chicken strip was a winner. -

@Sheribear68, I say this out of caring, but this doesn't sound healthy to me For all the positives on BP, I think there is an unfortunate reinforcement of disordered eating on here. -

Interesting, I've only seen/heard the pinwheels called Duros Adding on the Chicarron in Mexican food, it is very often fried, just like a pork rinds or crackling, but can also be braised, and used in tacos etc..
