You expect anyone to believe that this is racist: But this post of yours is not?
-
What I do know is what you have posted, which is blatantly racist Are your welfare check won't cover your weave and nail....
-
That response shows @BayougirlMrsS's true colors. It proves that not only does she have a long history disparaging others she feels she's superior to, but that she is also a racist.

And I'm the one who attacks those who don't agree with me ....

I agree, no top secret tips here I think the key is to find a sustainable plan that will work for you long term. What works for me (but may not work for anyone else) Logging everything I eat and drink everyday. So I know the approximate calories that I lose, maintain or gain at. Weigh myself on a regular basis. I have weight red line. If I go over that for more then a few days I know I need to make adjustments to my diet to bring my weight back down If I want to lose a little then I can do intermittent fasting which I might combine with calorie restriction. I think it is also important to be aware of what will not work for you long term. I know that I will never maintain a rigorous work out schedule. I am also very susceptible to diet fatigue and will rebel if I feel deprived. So I know that moderation works for me, and not restrictive diets like keto etc.. -
Are is it to just nod and agree? No, which is exactly why I commented What does the fact that i'm a two-time WLS patient have to do with my question As I wrote in my first post, most WLS patients have a long history of being asked questions similar to the ones in your original post. "Why don't you just eat better? Why don't you just exercise more?" I would think as a two time WLS patient you would know that those comments are condescending and offensive. Weight gain and reasons are a legitimate question They are. But you didn't pose this as a legitimate question. You posted it in the Rants and Raves section and you said "Trust that i know i will get flack for this...." I am left to draw one of two conclusions: You are completely unaware of the thousands of articles that have been written about pandemic related lifestyle changes and its effects. You are also oblivious to the common sense impact of gyms/parks/trails closures, poverty's effect on one's diet, mental health consequences of social isolation etc.. The option I find easier to believe is this was not a sincere question. Instead it's an opportunity for you to congratulate yourself for having more fortitude than all these weak willed people who when faced with a life altering pandemic and economic shut down and didn't plant a garden, meal plan or pick up milk jugs filled with sand.
-
But it was to point fingers .... What's stopping people from either... growing there on veggies or buying them and having more time to food prep. Also, why aren't people taking the time to exercise more.... walking, running, yoga, stretching..... repurposing those milk jugs and filling them with water/sand. Grab those resistance bands and use them or the exercise equipment you are using as a clothes hanger I find it disingenuous that a two time WLS patient would question why anyone would gain weight. I still can only see the reason for your post as to not so humble brag and to smugly look down your nose at others.

Surgery for non-weight reasons?
sillykitty replied to cmac1mcB's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
@cmac1mcB I don't think the fact you gained weight due to a side effect from your asthma meds changes the fact that you had WLS in order to lose weight. Many people here had WLS in order to treat diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea etc.. Additionally early on many of us struggle with having to eat when we are not hungry, in order to get adequate protein. So even though you may see yourself as different than other WLS patients, I think you will find your journey pretty similar. -
I am seriously considering round 2 of plastic surgery! 😃 I'm interested in an arm lift. But I am hesitating over the scars and the healing/recovery process. I'd love more insight from those who have gone through this already. I know recently there has been @ms.sss, @rs, @mousecat88, but I know there are more! Experiences and pics would be much appreciated!

As a two time weight loss surgery patient, you truly don't understand why people gain weight? Everything you just posted could have been said about you or any of us. Didn't we all hear "Just eat healthier. Just exercise more."? How did it feel when you encountered that type of attitude pre WLS? Was it helpful or motivating in any way? Even in Rants and Raves, what is the reason behind this post? The only point I can see is to feel superior to others. Reminds me the the post from earlier this month, "STOP MAKING EXCUSES." It's the same myopic point of view and lack of empathy towards others who may be struggling.

I don't think we need to insult any body type on here. Haven't we all experienced enough of that?

Body Lift Surgeon Recommendations?
sillykitty replied to FatboySkin's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I'm guessing part of the reason @ms.sss was able to have a lot done in a relatively short amount of time, is because of how thin she is/was. What was your total amount removed? Like a 1/2 lb, maybe even 1/4 lb? -

Please help. I can’t eat healthy
sillykitty replied to Riva_G.'s topic in Duodenal Switch Surgery Forum
For the gassiness, have you tried Beano? I find it very effective. Just make sure you take at least 3 pills at the start of every gassy meal. Just one doesn't work. For constipation, have you tried adding Miralax or Benefiber to your daily routine? If you can start to be able to eat fruit, veggies, and whole grains, then you should solve the constipation problem as well, and you can incorporate more lean protein. -
So this weekend, I went out to a very small, social distanced, outdoor birthday gathering. I did my make up for the first time in 4 months 😲 Still rocking my padded booty panties. (but hopefully not for much longer 😊) By contrast, this is my look pretty much any other random day

I've been MIA, and way too much fabulousness on this thread to comment on everyone. But @Sophie7713, WOW!!! This is stunning! It is so flattering and so, YOU! 😍

It was a unique situation as this person is in a position of authority over me. I "read the room" and decided to come clean. I could have stuck to my story, but career wise, that wouldn't have been the right decision. It's tricky because although I have the absolute right to privacy, I was lying to people. This person felt that, "we were better than that." And there was also the valid point that people were very concerned about my health. -

Do you think they have already figured it out? (I had what I thought was a pretty convincing cover story, and I had one person ask me straight out recently, and there are several other I'm certain figured it out on their own) -

Can fruit cause dumping syndrome??
sillykitty replied to Natalierae's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Agree with this. I have VSG and sometimes things don't sit well. They make me uncomfortable and nauseous. Less commonly I do have mild dumping syndrome, I have more extreme nausea, and my tell tale sign is a racing heart and light headedness. So TLDR - nausea does not equal dumping
