All I want to eat is cheese!
sillykitty replied to sleevedllama's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@MargoCL & @Matt Z Since you love the Kay's have you tried these? https://store.bariatricpal.com/collections/all/products/bariatricpal-protein-double-bites-honey-mustard Not quite as good macros as Kay's, but totally taste normal, not like a protein product. The Honey Mustard Flavor tastes like the Gardetto's pretzel flavoring to me. -

You were fasting while @FluffyChix and I were going off the rails -
I just bought one of these brushes. No expereince yet, but they generally get good reviews and don't cost much https://smile.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_3_30?url=search-alias%3Dhpc&field-keywords=exfoliating+brush+ingrown+hairs&sprefix=Exfoliating+Brush+ingrown+hair%2Cbeauty%2C192&crid=2SP07W0PY2HVH&rh=n%3A3760901%2Ck%3Aexfoliating+brush+ingrown+hairs

At 40 cals per tblsp ... I'll go with less authentic, or should I say less xác thực! -

My stomach is made of iron, I swear. Only things that bother it are vitamins! It was that way pre WLS, and is the same now. It's funny, at 3 weeks post op I was on trip to a week long meeting and the host is known for hosting elaborate meals. I was eating 10-15 course meals each night. I mean obviously I didn't eat every course, nor eat very much of the courses I did have. But I think back and wonder how I *knew* my stomach would be able to handle everything, duck, pork, raw fish, cooked fish, shellfish, etc. But it did, with no issues. *Disclaimer - I don't encourage anyone else to go off plan so early post op! -
I'd love for that to be true of soy potein isolate, but it has a gritty texture that too unpleasant for me to deal with.

Using @FluffyChix suggestion Vietnamese coffee with PP instead of sweetened condensed milk. This will be my first experiment with whey protein in about 6 months. Fingers crossed I've gotten over my intolerance! -

That looks delicious. Great timing for looking at this pic, I have a tummy full of jerky, so not too tempted to make a taco run! -

I wish I knew what it will take. I'm just taking it an hour at a time, lol. Today is good so far, doing IF, haven't had anything to eat/drink yet today. Not hungry, and cravings are under control. So, yay? -
I'm so sorry you have such a hard situation to deal with

Moderate IF is really how I am most days with zero effort, going way back before WLS. If I'm not having a work related breakfast, then I generally don't eat until near noon. But, my short term, totally non scientific result, show that IF alone, without moderating what I eat/drink and the cals I take in, does not lead to weight loss, for me. If I get my head in the game. I can eat reasonably well and healthfully for the next 1.5 weeks. I have work travel, but it's not the "wine and dine" variety, so I can control that better. After that it's two weeks, plus a weekend of really challenging eating and drinking due to work and personal commitments, and then pasta/gelato/wine vacation. But although work makes it more challenging. It's really about me recommitting to eating better, and I'm just not there right now -

Yeah, and I really like them, especially for a protein product! The 34 degree crackers are really low cal, so I don't worry about them. -

That would be a Double Decker Taco. I know this because apparently @FluffyChix & I were both at Taco Bell last night -

I definitely count my cheese towards my protein goal. I don't really love a lot of lean meat, so cheese plays an important role in my diet. -
Should I cut my hair? (Hair Loss)
sillykitty replied to AstroCat's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had a lot of hair loss 3-5 months post up. But no one can tell the difference except me. When my hair is down, even I can't really tell. Only when I pull my hair up, and the temples are thin, and my ponytail is 1/2 the diameter it once was, does it become apparent to me. -

I 2nd the Laughing Cow wedges. I like them with 34 Degree Crackers. Also, just found the Aldi version only has 25 calories per wedge, vs. 35. (Haven't yet tried them, or compared the size of the wedges.) -
I became whey protein intolerant at 4 weeks post op. Different brands of protein shakes, protein powders, protein bars, protein waters, all containing whey made me extremely nauseated. I eliminated they whey protein isolate, switched to casein and soy, and I have been fine ever since. About 6 months later I'm going to test out Premier Protein again, and see if I have gotten over the issue.
