Yes, pre pandemic I had many business meals. And the amount I was eating was often commented on. Usually it was out of concern but not always. Next time just be prepared with an excuse, stomach has been bothering you, an illness or something. In the case of shaming an answer like , “I’m going through some medical issues” usually shuts them up.

I definitely get how timing comes into play with plastics. My work schedule was the driving factor for my surgery date. I had originally planned plastics 9 months post WLS. Thankfully I wasn't able to arrange the time off work. I ended up dropping 15 lbs below my goal weight. 15 lbs doesn't seem like a lot, but my body changed dramatically. Most dramatically I went from a C cup to an A. Even once my weight stabilized it definitely continued to shift around, I seemed to continue to shrink. When I was able to have my plastics I was 21 month post WLS and had been at a stable weight for 10 months. I am a very impatient person, so I did not want to delay my surgery. But at the end it worked out for the best.

At only 6 weeks post op, don't assume you're not able to vomit. Like @ms.sss described, if I really need to vomit, my body will do so, from lower down in my stomach. (And don't worry as much about everything stopping you from losing weight, trust your surgery )

Interesting because I prefer the soybean/edamame noodles with Asian flavors over Italian. I like making cold pasta salads with them -

Have you tried protein pasta? I really like Edamame pasta, tastes good, and high protein. -

Even here, food trucks are permanently stationed, or at least a regular rotation of locations. There are two types of food trucks in SoCal, the bougie great Food Truck Race type trucks, with delicious, but pricey food. Then there are OG taco trucks with inexpensive and super tasty food. The plate I posted cost $2! -
Yes, people lose weight after WLS following all kinds of different programs, or even none at all. As long as one consumes less calories than they burn, weight loss will occur (yes, there are other factors to this equation, but over the mid to long term, this holds true) If you only are eating only 3/4 cup of food a day, are you meeting your protein goals? You are only 6 weeks post op, so it's way too early to judge that "weight loss has slowed down". You have lost over 5 lbs per week, that is in no way something you should think is disappointing or unsatisfactory. Just relax and realize that this is working!

It could be further healthified by using Fairife low or non fat milk and ground turkey (or ground meat veg substitute in your case @GreenTealael) It was surprisingly good. I wasn't looking forward to a carbless casserole (blasphemy 😂), but actually had seconds for my "second dinner". (I know it's not carbless, but no added carbs, like rice or noodles) -

If you allow moderate carbs into your diet, Trader Joe's Gyoza are tasty -
Carbs have never been excluded from my diet. During the weigh loss stage, they were a smaller part of my diet. Hitting protein goals and keeping calories down didn't leave too much room for them. But now in maintenance, I eat relatively "normally", just smaller portions.

The pics I've seen of Trader Joe's branded products in German Aldi doesn't bear any resemblance to the US Trader Joe's product, neither in product types nor packaging. I wouldn't think Trader Joe's is widely known in Germany, so the branding seems odd to me. To add to the confusion, it is Aldi Nord that owns Trader Joe's and not Aldi Sud. @GreenTealael is the meme queen, and I'm the resident Aldi expert apparently. 😟 -
Little Weight Loss on Pre-OP & None Post-Surgery

Your surgery was less than a week ago. It is far too early to start worrying about the scale. Your body has experienced some pretty extreme trauma + IV fluids as mentioned. I'd suggest you put a way the scale for a few weeks. When you do weigh yourself, try to keep some perspective, it was WLS, not magic. -

I actually made this for a meal with my 96 year old grandmother 😂 I gravitate to cooking comfort food all year round. Sauce + starch is my happy place. -

I agree with @Meadow76, you don't have to eat breakfast food for breakfast. You can eat anything that appeals to you and on plan. (Lifelong breakfast hater here) Secondly, you have lost 47 lbs in 3.5 months? Why would that make you discouraged and lose motivation? That is a huge amount of weight in a short amount of time. -

Early bird gets the bread 😭 As I understand it, the demand was unexpected. The supplier had to take a hiatus to ramp up their capacity -

I had chicken over Greek pasta salad last night. You could sub the pasta with like, umm, lettuce? 😂 For curry, I use pastes. I can’t get the right flavor without them. Golden Curry is Japanese & can be found at most grocery stores, at least near me. And for Thai, Mae Ploy off Amazon is pretty amazing. For Indian I’ve used Shan brand powder mixes in the past. I’ve only seen those at Indian Markets though.
