Simple. Why don't you get off of a Forum where people are roll players and go to FB and find here there. She documents absolutely every thing that is happening to her. Disecting an individual who is no longer here is hard hitting? Yes. This is the appropriate thing to do on a weight loss forum. This is getting boring. I have to go on a liquid diet shortly. Talk amongst yourselves disecting this person. I came to this forum to get help. Obviously it isn't the place. It's more a bully board. There are other places. Have a good time here. Bariatric Pal also lost a customer. There are other sites. I will not associate with a site nor a store that propogates hate. Have a good life everybody.

Yes. According to the woman the doctor called her a name. Bottom line. A person came on a forum asking for help and is attacked by strangers. The funny part is, we continue to discuss this and she has obviously left the forum and hasn't posted again. However, since since she is famous, you can track her down on Facebook and she is openly discussing it on her Facebook Page. A person came here asking for help and was attacked. She has now left this forum. The people who drove her off are no worse than the people who have attacked me since grade school calling me names.

So Convinice YOU why a 9/11 First Responder who has 9/11 Related illnesses and is on multiple medications such as steroids which helps attribute to weight gain doesn't need to be called a fat pig? Excuse me. Who are you? You think it is OK for a Doctor to call a patient a fat pig let alone disrepect a 9/11 First Responder? Again. WHO ARE YOU? You must be somebody really important why we need to convince you why it is wrong to call another human being a. fat pig.

My Doctor (who is the inventor of the Duodenal Switch), doesn't believe in the liquid diet. Just clears 24 hours before. Due to my medication which was changed recently, my hormonal treatment made me gain weight. My doctor spoke with my Endocrinologist who verified the reason for the weight gain and understood. Weight gain, for people with medical illnesses could come for other reasons besides over eating. A good doctor will look for the reason why. My surgery is still on target for February 28, weight gain and all.

Correct nobody has to divulge personal information. That being said, you act like an expert and degrade individuals who come to this forum for help and exuse forum participants. It is only natural for one to ask your credentials. However, you are too afraid to give your background. Interesting. You are a computer warrior judging others, but are ashamed of yourself personally. That is the epitome of a troll. Just saying I understand you are afraid to show who you really are. Continue to hide behind your keyboard :). Have a wonderful day. I don't respond to trolls.

For the third time, and yet another deflection. "You will ignore this question as it was posed to you a while ago and you deflected and never answered. What do you do for a living?"

I work for Optum Health Insurance, part of my job responsibilities is decide who gets treatment or not and if one meets medical criteria. And I hate to tell you 'proving you have broken addiction' is not a reason why one is denied for a procedure. You will ignore this question as it was posed to you a while ago and you deflected and never answered. What do you do for a living?

My doctor told me I would die without WLS. My insurance company (United Healthcare) with my particular plan does not authorize for WLS, but upon appeal agreed because I will die without it. A boob job is elective. WLS is not, unless I elect to die, and for many others like me who will die if they do not have surgery, it is not elective. By the way. Insurance companies do not cover elective surgery. The majority of Insurance companies do. They don't consider it elective. They consider it a medical necessity. By the way. Billing codes for Weight Loss surgery are Vertical Banded Gastroplasty (CPT 43842, 43843), Gastric Bypass (CPT 43846, 43847) or Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass (CPT 43644 and 43645), As I stated. Insurance companies consider it non elective and medical necessity.

No individual in their right mind is going to go through the process of getting approved, have their stomach ripped out and never be able to eat again normally if they weren't serious. That being said, having to pass a psych exam and the psychologist/psychiatrist should be able to see that the individual is not taking the surgery seriously and is an inappropriate candidated. Does your Cardio Surgeon require every single one of his patients to have a 6 month or longer waiting period for surgery, demand that every single one of his patients see a therapist and attend classes before he determines if the candidate is appropriate for the surgery?

Has anybody thought about or gotten a Gastric Sleeve (or whatever procedure you are having) medical alert braclet?

I have Metabolic Syndrome. My Cushing's Syndrome makes it almost impossible to loose weight, especially with the steroids I take daily. If I do not have Bariatric Surgery I will die. I guess you are correct. It is elective surgery. I can elect not to have it and die. I am sure there are many others like me who have illnesses that require this surgery or they will die. Part of the Insurance Company's requirements is to have a psych exam isn't it? A whole lot of psychiatrists/ psycologists are going to get fired for approving patients for surgery who are deemed not ready.

Weight gain pre-op
Jelly Belly replied to JazmaniaRNY's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First, if you started your period, it could be water weight. Have you been having more salt than usual? Did you gain those 4 lbs in a week prior to your period? Great job on exercising and eating right! Sending lots of love to you! -

Do you have a picture? -
Nicely stated, and judged by the amount of people liking your post, it appears many agree with your sentiments.

Is sugar free Jell-o pudding (not jello jello) Permitted during the pre op liquid diet? It does have 60 calories.

This is a little off topic. But can I please ask the purpose of the forum? There appears to be a lot of nasty people on it. I thought the purpose was to help other members. Am I wrong? I see people attacking others who come here to look for help. I have enough problems getting ready for this surgery. I have been made fun of because of my weight my entire life. It is disgusting to see it happen on a Bariatric Forum where people are supposed to help each other. I am on many Bariatric forums on FB. None attack members like I see on this forum.

Crazy People On This Forum
Jelly Belly replied to Jelly Belly's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you for getting it. Like I said. I have been bullied my entire life about my weight. I won't let anybody be harassed the same way I was. Especially when we are here to help each other. I don't know her personally. I do know her music and I did see her on tv with Hillary Clinton. She is on FB and I found her there. Friended her and she is posting all about this on her page. You should see the people turning out. I'm not star struck. She is just another person needing help and was attacked. That isn't cool. -
Crazy People On This Forum
Jelly Belly replied to Jelly Belly's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I do think it is crazy and there is something wrong with a person who feels the need to judge those on a forum who they have never met and don't know. I think a person has serious issues if they would care so much about an individual who they don't know and never met. I also that a person has serious issues if they feel the need to attack a stranger who they don't know, never have met who comes anonymously on a forum in pain asking for help and instead of helping the individual and showing compassion they choose to hurt the individual even more. Kinda like telling somebody who is about to jump off a building to jump. Yes. I do call a person like that crazy and I stand by my statement. Look at my picture. I am overweight. I have been bullied my whole life. I was accused of being another person of this person because I dared to stand up and say its wrong. That is crazy, and a person who would think so is IMHO. I call it as I see it. A person has serious issues if they feel the need to attack an individual who comes on a forum asking for help, who they don't know and have never met. -

Feel free to observe the Got Bad News thread on this section by somebody called 'PeachesCat". This woman (who I recognize from the media) was being attacked by forum members. -
Home from the Hospital - Tips for You!
Jelly Belly replied to wendybird's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This was a very helpful post. My doctor told me that I had to get up and walk an hour to 2 hours after the surgery. I couldn't believe that. I figured I would still be groggy. -
You are psychotic. I do hope you get the help you need. I try to stay away from psychotic people on a message board. Feel free to talk to yourself. It makes you feel important. I won't dignify you with an answer. Get help. You need it.
-
Are you insane or a psychic? How dare you judge anybody on a forum who asks for help. Strangers on a forum who you never met. You think you know a person who is sitting behind a computer screen who you never met. That is psychotic. I feel very sorry for you. I hope you get the psychological help you so desperately need. And yes. Being truthful is easier and I do hope you are truthful to yourself and get help. Good luck to you :).

All Liquid Pre-Op Diet help
Jelly Belly replied to STjourney's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congrats on your 6th Day. I was looking on the site. They have fruit flavored protein, and iced tea. Have you tried those? Maybe drinking something that isn't a shake would be easier? -
