Try walking as much as you can and I move your arm/shoulders that helps releasing the gasses.

After surgery my vision has changed. Before surgery I wear my eyeglasses 24/7 but now I only need them to see from far, even from far I feel them weird, like if I were wearing other person eyeglasses. Anyone with this weird situation after surgery?

I got surgery on the 1st. Today I was supposed to start drinking the Protein but I don't like it. I have only had 2 sip of protein shake. I'm finally doing okay with water Jell-O and G2. In a few hours I'll try a homemade broth. No pain at all, I only dealing with gas pain. I'm not counting how much liquid I'm getting in. I know I know I should be noting my progress. So far this is the best day after surgery. When drinking I immediately go for a walk that helps with the gassed.

Hi guys I made to the other side. My surgery was yesterday around 11am. I got to hospital at 8am and immediately they took me to the preparation area. It tooks about 3hrs to get me ready for the operation room. Nurse, surgeon, anesthesia team talked to me one by one before surgery. At some point I got desperate bc I was so hungry and sleepy that I just wanted to be in the operation table. Besides the preparation process was very pleasant and informative my family and 2 friends got to meet all the persons that were going to take care of me during the surgery. I woke up around 5pm already in my room. The hungry pain felt so strong in my stomach that I even wasn't thinking on my surgery pain. The gas pain is another thing but I have to say that as soon your start walking you start releasing those gasses and the pain goes away significantly. I'm right now at the hospital and I should be heading home around 3pm, that what I've been told. That's my update so far.

Same to you @bmatt418 and yes we can stay in touch. My surgery is scheduled to be at 8am I live in Tampa Florida. I'm not doing pre-op diet and I feel bad mentioning this since all of you guys are going through that process right now. I'm just eating healthy and tomorrow at night I have to use 2 fleets before bed time and another medicine the doctor ordered, also I have to drink 32oz of G2 4 hours before surgery and not eat anything after midnight. Those are my instructions pre-op.

I can really relate to your story, thanks for sharing it. Best wishes today during and after surgery. I live in Florida too, where are you getting your surgery done? -
At least you were able to finally start the process.
-
Did you call them?
-
But are you already scheduled to receive the phone call? When I called to UHC they asked basic questions in order to know if I was or not a candidate for the Weight loss program and during the same call the representative scheduled my phone call with Nurse for 3 weeks later.

The way with add flavor to our yummy food and how we combine different recipes into 1 plate is the problem. Ex, yellow rice and potatoes salad or rice, sweet plantain and any meat, we put too many carbs in a same plate. In my opinion the only option is small portions. -
Hi, May I ask, why did you have 5 meetings?
-
Thanks for your comments. I've been worried about if I should or not mention my depression chapter during the Psych evaluation.
