I also have pre-Barrett's and that freaked me out enough to go with bypass instead of the sleeve. Great thing is there have been studies that show reversal of esophagus damage after bypass surgery. Good luck! -

How about collagen peptides? I've been using them for awhile before surgery, just to improve hair, skin, nails and joints. -

Great topic! I have a friend who had the sleeve (but I don't think the type of surgery really matters in this case) and had the same sadness over losing the companionship of food. I'm 2 days away from surgery, and right now I'm (kinda?) looking forward to not using food as a crutch anymore.
