Hi there! I’m finally on purée/soft foods and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to portion food so that you don’t overeat. I know they say eat until you are full but I haven’t reached that yet. I can’t tell when I’m full and don’t want to overeat. How much are we supposed to have at a meal? I’ve heard 4oz is this typical?

So is 1/2 a cup for total food or protein? How do you measure if you want like eggs and retried beans? Hopefully that isn’t a dumb question.

That’s a great tip! I’ll give that a shot!

Just wanted to see if anyone is experiencing the same thing? I’m two weeks post op from bypass. I haven’t had any problems or nausea until recently. I’ve been able to tolerate everything that I’ve tried, but for some reason the past two days anytime I drink water it makes me nauseous. It doesn’t last long but it doesn’t feel good. I love water and I know it’s important but why would it make me feel this way? Anyone have similar experiences?

Hi there! I’m going on 2 weeks post gastric bypass and I wanted to see if anyone else tried different foods. I know that there are many plans out there but right now I’m on the full liquid diet, next week is puréed foods. I was wondering if anyone tried soups puréed them and thinned them out. My plan is the usual Protein shakes, broths, carnation instant bfast, cream based soups. Has anyone tried a soup from a supermarket that they make in house with chunks, puréed, thinned it out with broth and put through a strainer? I guess my question is, is any soup ok and not just cream based? As long as there are no chunks?

Hi there! I’m two days post op and I’m supposed to get 60 grams of protein and 64 oz of liquids in per day. So my question is how fast do I drink my protein shakes? Like an hour to drink one? I just don’t know how to get everything I need in by the end of the day? Anyone have any tips?

Hi there! Has anyone tried cloud bread post op in the “soft food” stage? Here is the recipe. Very low carb. Just don’t know if it’s soft enough? https://www.aspicyperspective.com/best-cloud-bread-recipe/
