    February Surgery Buddies!

Haha I won’t be trying it just yet. I will soon but I ordered some to have for when I am ready as far as shrimp I may attack that sooner because the craving is real. I am hoping by summer I can have a little bit of crab and shrimp ceviche since it is our family summer food.

    February bypass buddies?

Hey sorry to hear that. I have issues vomiting and it hurts very badly. Why are you vomiting is it because food doesn’t agree with you or maybe you drank to fast or ate to fast? Just mark it off your list to not be able to eat it if it is food wise. We really shouldn’t be having chocolate chip cookies or anything sugary. If sugar is your weakness, mainly because it is mine, the alternatives. I ordered some items from Bariatric pal as treats (not that I’m a pet) to give myself every once in a while. Check it out or try your local nutrition store like Vitamin Shoppe or GNC. I am post RNY 2/7/18 and had my one month visit today officially 18.7lbs down. Just be very careful and mindful of the things you try. You don’t want to give yourself a bowel obstruction or hurt your new stomach. No one likes hospital stays. As for the vomiting, we don’t vomit like we use to because we lack stomach juices so the acid that helps dissolve our food is not really in our new stomach so vomiting at least for me is very painful because it comes back up the way I chewed it down. Hope it gets better. Food is secondary, make sure you always start your day with a bottle of water then hit your protein source. Vitamins, H2O, Protein is what you need. All I can say is go with what you like weather it is eggs, yogurt, milk, cheese, beans, eat what you like the most and try to meet your goals. As long as you try everyday your hardest, you can accomplish it.

    February Surgery Buddies!

I am only allowed 3 meals a day, but everyone does what they can. I did snack once today. My routine: Breakfast: 4oz decaf, 2 cups ice, 11oz caramel protein premier ( iced coffee)30g P Lunch: Greek Yogurt (7.5g-15g P depends if I stagger it and eat it all throughout the afternoon) or Dannon Light and Fit Smoothie Yogurt (9g P) Dinner: Egg and cheese omelet style 7-8g P or Shredded Chicken and cheese 15g P or more or deli meat and cheese 10g P or more With my night meds I drink 4-8oz of Fairlife for added protein (6.5g P to 13g P) I hope everyone else is accomplishing well. All my servings never exceed 2-3oz and if they do it is very drinkable and takes me longer than 30 mins to consume. I do drink water throughout the day as well.

Hello all!!!! Hope everyone is well. Tonight, I am craving so I figure I would ask what is everyone looking forward to eating within the current phase or next phase? I want some shrimp lol more specifically spicy Cajun shrimp. I am on the soft food phase but won’t dare touch it just yet. I am giving it some more time. I just want something spicy haha

Maybe a taco party idk if you like tacos but you know beans cheese soft puréed meats yum!!! You won’t be able to eat much, but you know tacos means party lol. I am sure anything you do will be great... it’s your birthday celebrate your success!!!
  16. No problem. You will be a mommy someday. Work on your health first and everything else will fall into place.
  17. I have PCOS as well and I was able to have a child. Everyone is different your body is still adjusting. It is a big adjustment. Also, your periods may be different then other people’s you may not even bleed heavily like everyone else is you may just be discharging or see brown spots that may be confused by urine (sorry TMI) but don’t stress. We live in modern times. There is always a way to have a child. Look at all your options and talk to your doctor about it. Remember our bodies are going through an adjustment period. Focus on the weighloss and succeeding. Once your journey has settled, revisit this topic. Let your body heal and if tests have confirmed you are fertile then you are fertile. Good luck!

    February Surgery Buddies!

S/p RNY 2/7/18 and i am not feeling so great lately. I started soft foods. I think it is increased gas but idk it is discomfort when eating. Almost feel like going back to puréed foods or liquids. I am ok some day but today was a tough day. Almost feel nauseas and with a belly ache and I have not over ate nor drank enough liquids. I did overwork myself yesterday. I push myself to exceed 5000 steps a day and go up and down my stairs at least 4 times within the day. I feel like I am exhausted but physically however today is different I feel exhausted and sick. Anyone having similar symptoms?

I had skin glue it falls on its own. Once it gets itchy, that’s a sign of healing so don’t pick at it but about a good 3 weeks for me.

    February Surgery Buddies!

I didn’t gain any post surgery. I was peeing everything out. However, I think you can count if from whenever. I start from surgery date because I didn’t gain any, but if I would have gained I would have gone off the weight I did gain. You are doing great. I feel like I am going slow. It’s getting to me.
