I think it’s different for everyone. I’m about a month & half post op. I eat about two to 3 meals a day about 2-3oz. I stay full for hours. My meals are spread out to like 3 hours in between each.

I had surgery April 9,2018. At surgery I weighed 167 and had a BMI 34. Like you, I only have to lose 60 pounds to get to goal. My surgeon explained to me that it’s all about percentage. We all lose the same, but someone lighter will lose slower than someone who is way heavier. My one month post op was a couple days ago & I lost a total of 15 pounds in one month.

Almost 3 weeks post op & keep throwing up..
loveeroxx posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had surgery 4/9/18. Almost 3 weeks post op. Surgeon started me on pureed last week. I’ve had cottage cheese, tuna, avocado.. and sometimes the food stays down & the other times I throw it right up. I’m scared something is wrong. I hate this [emoji30] I’m only eating an ounce to an ounce and a half at a time. Very slowly. I eat one meal, wait several hours before I eat again. I dont know what else to do. Scared to eat at this point. Help!? -

Drink drink drink. Have some water, protein water, protein shake or bone broth that has protein. Maybe head hunger? I’m the opposite and never feel hungry so I’m constantly forcing fluids down. I’m 12 days post op. Since they pumped air into you plus all the iv fluids you were on at the hospital your body is probably still trying to get rid of that fluid and you probably still have some gas in your tummy. You’ll start loosing the weight. I’ve been a slow loser but it will definitely start coming off. & being 12 days out, I’m still constantly tired and tire easily. It’s normal! It gets better every day. Rest & try to increase your activity daily. You got this! Don’t give up. It gets better.

I had my surgery 4/9. My recovering so far has been easy with minimal pain. Still struggling to get all of 64 ounces of liquids down. So ready for the purée stage.

I’m 4’10 and when I started the program I weighed 190. I had surgery last week & weighed 167 the day of surgery. I’m one week post op & have lost 8 pounds which is fine with me even though I see people losing way more on their first week of getting surgery.

I’m 5 days post op. & i feel amazing. Like you Except on my left lower incision I feel a knot or a constant tugging sensation which is annoying. But other than that, no nausea, pain is minimal, and I’m keeping liquids down good. I keep thinking in doing things wrong because of how good i feel besides that little knot feeling in the left lower side.

Thank you everyone! I’m waiting to see my dietician so I can be discharged today. I may be one of the lucky ones because I still have no nausea or pain besides the gas pains. I was finally able to pass gas which actually been helping. I’ve been walking a lot while here in the hospital & moving around. I’m able to keep fluids down although I’m not hungry at all. Scared for the protein part! I’m still trying to figure out how ima get all my water in plus protein [emoji30] I’m so happy with my decision in getting surgery! Love this app, love all the support here!

Had VSG surgery this morning. I woke up with bad pain in recovery. I’m feeling better now but still having a lot of gas pains. About to go walk around the floor to see if that will help with the gas. I’ve been tired though in & out of sleep all morning. So far so good though.

Isopure vs. Premier Clear?
loveeroxx replied to Sprinkles1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For isopure.. Apple melon, grape & pineapple orange banana were good. The after taste taste more like a yogurty after taste. Lol at least to me. The premier clean doesn’t have that much of an after taste or taste like protein. Just sweet. Super sweet lol. -
Isopure vs. Premier Clear?
loveeroxx replied to Sprinkles1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I drink both. Premier clear taste too sweet so I mix it with water. It’s good when it’s watered down. Isopure is good depending on the flavors. I love the isopure zero carb lemonade flavor. -
When is your surgery? I was required to lose 10 percent as well in 2 months prior to surgery. Surgery for me is in a month & I have lost 12 pounds so far with 6 pounds to go. I just followed a high protein low carb diet. 2 shakes a day & a salad or protein and veggies for dinner.
