    Physical Intimacy?

I thought I was the only one! Both my husband and I had weight loss surgery in December and his libido is a lot higher than mine now. I have hypothyroid and am on two meds for depression so I know that is part of the reason that my libido is so low. He is so much more affectionate and I love it but I cannot get into the mood! I want to but it is like the sex drive switch is stuck in the "off" position! It is something that I am going to address with my therapist but it is almost easier in this forum as you are not face to face with someone. And everyone you are talking with has had (or is going to have) a similar surgery as you so they can REALLY understand.
  2. Both my husband and I had WLS in December (him, early December, me late December). The whole journey has strengthened our marriage. We have opened up to eachother like never before. We are also there to support eachother as no one really knows what we are going thru unless they have had WLS themselves. We are happier as individuals so our marriage is better.

    Late December Sleevers?

I was sleeved on 12/28. I was at a stand still for almost 2 weeks and it was extreamly frustrating! I kept on the diet my surgeon gave me and stayed away from the scale. Finally dropping weight an fitting into clothes I haven't worn in years! Only down side, I have been getting really bad pain in my upper right abdomen (where my liver is). The doctor did blood tests and a CT and they said everything was normal. Hoping the nutritionst can give me some insight at my 5 week appointment tomorrow! How are you doing?
  4. Going back to work had its positives and negatives: consistent walking help break my stall :) but I caught a lovely bug and now feel like crap. I have been resting and making sure to get as many fluids and protein that I can. Excited to see the scale go down but it is also nice to hear the comments from my coworkers about good I look! I am not one that is used to getting compliments so its something I have to get used to.

    Fatty Liver Pain Sucks!

I had pain from my fatty liver diseae for years but it has gotten much more frequent and more painful since my surgery. I visited my surgeron today and they did a CT and blood work. Everything came back normal so I got, "Just keep following the diet and we will see you at your five week follow up appointent." Has anyone else dealt with this? How did you cope with the pain? It is horrible and it makes it hard to function day-to-day.

    Fatty Liver Pain Sucks!

No gallbladder and no appendix. I have not seen a specialist but that is something that I will look into. Thanks!

    Late December Sleevers?

I am getting at least 60 grams of protein a day. I could be doing better on my water.

  10. Had my gastric sleeve surgury on 12/28. I have lost about 15 pounds since surgery but have hit a stall. It is soooo frustrating! Any advice is greatly appreciated :)

I'm in the same boat, i was sleeved 12/29 and lost 15 lbs since surgery, and the scale hasn't moved for me in 3 or 4 days. Its frustrating.

I’ve had the same problem(twice). The first time was about a month after surgery and I added exercise to my day. If you are already walking add 10 minutes. The second time was this last month and I upped my calorie intake slightly. I’ve been exercising pretty hard and my calorie intake was very low. Once I upped the calories by just 100-200(not going over 1200) with the heavy exercise, I started dropping again. I hope that helps.

I'm getting a gym member ship this weekend. Hopefully working out will help me lose. My doctor wants me 25 lbs down by my next appt ( a month).
