I’m 3 weeks post op and the scale has not moved in 10 days. I am eating 600-800 calories a day and I’m trying to walk 3.5 Miles 3x a week. I’m drinking a protein shake every morning which is 30 gram of protein and eating three small meals a day. Is there something I’m doing wrong ? Should I excercise more ? My water intake is about 48 oz im afraid I’m not going to lose weight , what can I do to get the scale moving more?

Hello NJ !! I’m from New York but moved to Florida 4 years ago , the winters were brutal in the Hudson Valley I blamed my weight gain on the long depressing winters and then when I got to Florida , the excuse was the feel of being on the never ending vacation and so many people visiting Go Figure ! Lol. I enjoyed reading your posts, you are a very good writer. I def related to your pre-surgery posts , my sleeve is scheduled for Feb 6th. I’m feeling everything you did at that time ! The unknown is scary ! Thank you for giving us updates post surgery as well. Selfishly I want to hear more ! It sounds like you are doing so well and moving on with great success One of my fears is I will go thru this and won’t lose as much as I would like. I would like to lose 85-90 pounds. Ugh ! Could you give me some tips on what you ate when you got home ? Was it hard to drink water at first and to get your fluids in ? What does a day of food look like today for you ? Sorry for all the questions , I’m starving for any insight to Life post surgery and tips on how to make this process easier Thank you in advance and keep going Girl ! I love the part about you now wearing yoga pants ! I can’t wait ~ New Wardrobe here I come !! Lol

Mine is Feb 6th. I am nervous as well. I am trying to read as many forums as I can to learn from others experience. Seems to me most people are happy with their end results ! Keeps me going!!

Yes!! Let’s help each other thru this ! I would def like to keep in touch as we go thru the diff phases. I went to see my surgeon today and we went over my pre-op bloodwork etc ... happy to say everything is fine I go Friday for an educational class and then I’m ready for surgery day I am sticking to a low carb/high protein diet for the next couple of weeks ( I’m going to have one “last supper”) and then I need to do a liquid diet 3 days prior to the surgery (which is the Super Bowl 😞) But that’s ok ! I’m excited to get started ! Do you need to do any special diet prior to the surgery ? What protein shakes will you be using ?

I’m getting the sleeve at Delray Med Center. I just went for my pre op and gained 4 pounds from the holidays. They didn’t say anything I can’t believe it’s 3 weeks away ! I have been waiting a long time to do this Where are you getting your bypass done ?
