Were you in the room? Did you hear what he said? Just curious. Tell me. What did he say? You must know. After all. You have stated he was concerned regarding a safety issue. Tell me. Do you consider calling a patient a fat pig a safety issue?

May I ask what you do for a living and makes you an expert on the situation. Where did you get your medical degree? Or a you a psychologist/LCSW? Were you given a psych exam as part of your submission to the insurance company?

We can agree to disagree. Once an addict, always an addict. People relapse after sobriety of a century. True addicts know they must fight to stay free from their addiction every day and are always an addict. I can give you reading material from medical journals should you like, many written by myself being an expert on the subject having worked for the NYS Department of Health dealing with this very issues and writing policy for over 20 years

    Got Bad News

Actually, my personal reason for gaining weight is that I am a 9/11 First Responder who is on massive amounts of medications and recently had an increase in steroids which increased my weight which was verified with my Pulmonary Doctor. That being said, Addicts are prone to relapses. Because somebody has a relapse does not mean they don't want to stay clean. The worse thing one can do, is insult and addict. If a person who falls off the wagon and somebody degrades them, chances are they won't try again. Statistics prove that 60 percent of people relapse. It has nothing to do with them not to want to stay away from their chosen addiction. I am a food addict. However, an increase of medication caused me to hold water weight which no amount of dieting would get off. I have two issues. Gaining 4 lbs when in the past 6 months I have been losing does not (in my case) mean I am not serious. One has to look at the reason for the weight gain. And yes. If a person over ate doesn't mean they aren't ready for the surgery. Addicts relape. A good doctor would find out why.
  5. Today I went to my final Pre Op appointment (my surgery is 2/19). I gained weight. The doctor said I had to go on my liquid diet NOW and loose weight. He also wants to see me again (on 2/9) for a weigh in. My surgery depends on this... so a month liquid diet here I come. He was also nasty about it. Yeah I did wrong. Don't need to be hit over the head with it.
  6. So tomorrow I have my final Pre Op Appointment with my surgeon. They will also be sending me for bloodwork, x-rays and what not for final medical clearance. I have had many food funerals. Heck. More than I can count (damn you chicken wings!) . I know I gained weight. Will that change anything?
  7. No offense, but your boyfriend should want you to have the surgery for health reasons if nothing else. Is there a reason why he doesn't want you to have the surgery? Like a fear something will happen?
  8. I don't have time for a website lol. I document everything on my FB pages. My surgery is February 19th. I put a deadline to everybody who wants to hire me to put together a remix package for their single or want me to promote an upcoming single that I will be out of the office because I am getting Bariatric surgery and plan accordingly. I am in a business (the music business) where part of it is looks. I am 350 lbs. I don't fit in. I also own news radio stations. It was a journey for me to get approved for surgery and I documented it to show people the problems of the health care system. I am using my surgery to educate others. I used to hide and nobody knew what I looked like because I am fat and I don't want my fatness to hurt my artists. Now I am using this to educate others.
  9. I am the number 1 Dance Music Promoter. I have documented my journey, have done live videos and am incredibly honest with my artists, the industry and the fans. They are following me every step of the way. I figured I could be honest or risk having untruth's and rumors written about me. I am also hoping my journey will take away the stigma and help others.
  10. We are sisters! I have a February 19th Date also. My pre op check up and bloodworks are December 26th. I started a liquid diet today to loose all the weight I gained due to food funerals before my final weigh in.

    What Can I Eat?

Pre Op check up is next Friday, and I have to do bloods all over again with chest xray and what not. Surgery is February 19th. In a weird way, I am looking forward to the liquid diet since it is one step closer to the surgery. I am still trying to get used to the fact there are things I won't be able to eat again.
