Any other April 2018 Sleevers?
Frikinanni replied to mitchjoann132010's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I loved premier before, but I can’t handle those anymore [emoji30] I need one that has no milk protein -
Next week will be 5 months since my surgery and I’m down 70 lbs! I hit a lot of stalls, which led to a lot of frustration but the stalls will come and go! Before Now

My doctor doesn't do single incision - should I find a new one?
Frikinanni replied to Fitted T's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have 5 small incisions on my stomach in a star shape. I was also initially concerned about my scars but they’re pretty small and not that big of a deal- at least to me. -

Hey Houston peeps! What’s shakin I’m here?!

That’s so funny! I had taken a picture of how much I tightened my seatbelt when I flew a few weeks ago. Definitely the biggest NSV for me thus far. For years I’ve been asking for extenders, and in September of last year I bought my own off of Amazon for my flights to Ireland and Cancun. So exciting for us!

I’m 2.5 months out of my surgery and have been doing very well with my diet (with a slight struggle with my proteins) but I came to visit my best friend and have been really struggling with my food intake. Sweets (which is my first time since, I live for sugar free popsicles at home), and all around not such great food choices here in San Diego. Any help would be appreciated!!

Blood thinner shot to prevent clots
Frikinanni replied to Krista27's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I had to do the shots for 2 weeks myself when I was discharged. It wasn’t all that bad, but I did get some pretty nasty bruises. -
Yeah. They have a lot of options and a filter for a specific diet.

Yes! He also posts recipes on his Instagram. I downloaded his app, I think it’s $3.99 but it’s pretty convenient to be able to just search on there (as opposed to me having to scroll through his IG posts)

Chewable Vitamins making me nauseous!
Frikinanni replied to korii's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was taking the celebrate chewable multivitamins and told my nutritionist that they made me sooo sick. She said it was due to the small traces of zinc and iron and said I could now take the capsules. I switched but it’s a little harder since I have to take 1 pill 3x a day, on top of my calcium chewable 3x a day. I basically just have an alarm going off every 2 hours on my phone so I can be sure to take my vitamins. -

I lied about my height...now I’m nervous
Frikinanni replied to NYCNomad's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I would think it doesn’t affect the incisions as people who are the same height have different proportions. -
Surgery is on Jan 18th --1 day away
Frikinanni replied to 2feelinggreatagain's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Good luck! Congrats!! I was instructed to only do 3 days liver reducing diet. Made things SO much easier! :-) -
I have had to go strictly to nut milk after my surgery. I can’t handle milk either. I’ve been drinking a cashew & almond protein milk that has 10g of protein and only 2g of sugar per serving.

Hey all! I got my sleeve on 11.8.17. As soon as I got onto soft foods I stopped losing for a couple of weeks and now I feel after dropping my initial 50 lbs i am stuck again. It’s been maybe 2 weeks and I’ve seen no changes. Is this common? I may be comparing myself to others I know who have had it done and didn’t have issues losing early after their surgery.

Gallbladder removed during surgery
Frikinanni replied to Gotalose's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had my gallbladder removed during surgery and I had people visit (against my wishes) and I feel like I would have been just fine myself -
Thanks for the advice! I currently eat no fruit, but do eat veggies with Greek yogurt as my snack. I have been walking more and riding my bike around. Started back up at the gym, but I haven’t been able to make it yet. Until I do, I’ll try and just step it up then. Thanks!
