I’ve been having a sharp, stabbing pain like right under my left breast, just below the rib cage. I’ve got a message in to my doc to try to get an appointment but has anyone experienced this and know what it is?

Has anyone had an ulcers? If so, what were the symptoms? And did you have to have them fixed surgically?

Original weight - 237 Current weight- 187 Goal weight -160

I’m 2 months post op. Today, no matter WHAT I eat, I get extremely nauseous. Even if it’s just a tiny bit. I’m also getting that full feeling just after a couple bites, and of course I stop eating, but then I feel like I’m gonna throw up. Then I get super hungry after an hour or so, then nauseous again after I eat. I haven’t eaten anything today that I haven’t already tried. Should I just expect to have bad days like this? If so, what do you suggest I eat?

I feel the exact same way

Started out at 232, lost 6 pounds during the pre-op diet and then had surgery on 1/9. I got down to 210 by the third week and now I haven’t lost a single pound since!! What is happening? Is my weight loss over??

I started out at 232 and between the liquid diet and then the gastric bypass, I went to 210. Now I’m 5 weeks post op and haven’t lost a pound since week 3. This can’t be it, right?!

How long did it take for the stall to go away??

I’m one month out from gastric bypass and have only lost 19 pounds. Is that normal?

I’m on purée stage and trying to eat slow but by the time I purée and eat, my food is cold in no time. How are you combating this?

I’m 4 weeks post op and surprised at how much I could drink too. And I can take big gulps which shocked me! My surgeon said that’s normal but to be careful not to damage his handy work!

Totally not something I thought I’d be dealing with! Lol!

Why do you have to crush them?

That doesn’t look right. What surgery did you have? You have more incisions than I do. But you look like you may have a skin infection or something. Definitely call your doc. Something as simple as Benadryl could help.

I went back in two weeks but I sit at a desk all day!

Every time I take in a deep breath or yawn, I feel this stabbing pain in my right lower rib cage. It doesn’t feel like its actually in my lungs bc I can breath just fine but the sharp pain is enough to interrupt my yawn or deep breaths. Anyone experienced this?

I’m 4 days post-op (gastric bypass) and started having hot flashes today. They only last a minute or less but my whole body goes hot and it feels like my face is on fire. I’m 32 years old! Anyone else having this side effect?

You still have it?? Wow! I don’t know how you’re functioning. I had it for three days and called my surgeon in tears! Heating pad, hot showers directly on shoulder, pain pills, and gas drops helped me. On day 4, the pain was gone.

I am 6 days post op and have been feeling great and yesterday started back on the treadmill. Only did 10 minutes, but I was progress! I moved around a lot more and got a complete 64 oz of liquid in! Then I woke up this morning and my pouch feels very weird. It feels heavy, almost like something is stuck right below my breast bone. My stomach muscles are also super sore when I raise my arms. Did I damage something or did I just do too much yesterday?

What was your starting weight?

I’m 32 years old and 4 days post op and I’m suddenly having hot flashes. Not really sweating but my entire body goes hot for like 30 seconds then I get cold again. It’s mostly when I’m up moving around but has happened sitting still too. Is this normal? I have a call in to the doctor but haven’t heard from him yet and am worried!

Hello! I just had my gastric bypass on 01/09. Feeling pretty good except experiencing hot flashes (I’m 32!) and still battling gas pains! Anyone else?
