Hunger back and stomach capacity high?
ElseeG replied to ElseeG's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thanks. Thanks for sharing. -
I’m a week out and down 10 lbs. down, which I’m thrilled about. I’m finding, though, that I have the room for several sips of a Premier At one time. My doctor recommended one small plastic hospital cup (maybe an ounce or less?) every 15 minutes. Is this typical? Of course, I’m afraid the surgery got screwed up somehow and it didn’t work.

Thanks. Yes. I think I’m finding that the regimen was easier to follow when I was away. Now that I’m back home with my children and regular responsibilities, I need to find the rhythm. I just setting my timer and carrying premier and Gatorade with me. -

Thank you. That is helpful advice. I’m going back to sipping every 15 minutes today. I was running around with my kids yesterday, so I was hungry by the time I did sit down to drink. -

Thanks. I really like the premier shakes too. They are too yummy!!

It is pretty gross. And to make matters worse, I added protein powder to it for the first two days. Learned my lesson.

Anyone in the DFW area? Considering gastric sleeve surgery
ElseeG replied to C~Morse's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I’m from NJ but I just had the sleeve done in Dallas by Dr Dirk Rodriguez. Glad to answer any questions. -
I saw my surgeon today and all is well. He explained why I’m having pain when I swallow. It’s because the fluids are moving from a larger opening and into the tiny stomach opening. It’ll pass. I’m down 7 pounds. Mostly water weight, but I’ll take it!

Hi everyone. I had surgery on Monday. I had so much pain from the gas, I thought it would never end. Now it’s two days later and I have chest pain when I swallow and stomach pain/soreness when I get out of bed. I been following liquid and protein intake instructions. I’m seeing MD tomorrow. Might it just be heartburn?

Thanks. Yeah. I’m walking regularly. So much so that I went To to a museum here in Dallas today... -
Well, I had surgery yesterday. Gotta tellnyou, the post survey has pain was at least as bad as labor! Doing much better today. I’m finding, though, that my tummy can accommodate more than I expected it to. I’m having water down soup as recommended by my surgeon, and if it weren’t for the fact that I’ve been told to sip, I be done by now...I cannot have gone through this for nothing...!

Well, I leave for Dallas tomorrow for a 7am surgery. I’m so excited!!!

I will ask my surgeon as well, but what vitamins do you take? Brand? Bariatric? Gummy? thanks!

I’m at 35 BMI and my only co-morbidity is sleep apnea. All of my blood work is fine. My liver scan was fine. I’m not sure I’ll be approved....thoughts?

35 BMI + sleep apnea - approved?
ElseeG replied to ElseeG's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Thanks for checking in! I decided to travel from NY to Dallas as self pay. It will cost $11,200. I have no co-morbidities, so trying to get insurance to cover it was futile. I’m so excited!!! -
