Im drinking the Isopure Dutch Chocolate shake, It has zero carbs and 25 gm protein per scoop, recommended serving size is two scoops but now that Im on the soft food phase I only do 1 scoop. I've had the vanilla as well but like the chocolate better, you can also get unflavored and add it to your soup , etc. You can get it off Amazon. Today is my third day of soft foods and I can only get .5 to 1 oz of dense protein in one sitting and that is by eating super slow and chewing a lot. So for example 1 hard boiled egg I cut it in half and can only eat 1 half. I leave the other half for a couple of hrs later. I've found that for me, fish sits super hard on my stomach and I have the feeling that it's stuck in my throat for a long time, I made baked halibut with some salt, pepper , oregano and basil and I can only do 1 spoonfull of it before I get that horrible feeling, which breaks my heart because I love it. My sister had the surgery 8 months ago and she tells me this is completely normal, she also could only eat very little in the beginning so I don't worry much, before I tried to get at least 2 oz of protein in a sitting but after getting the foamies a couple of times I just do up to 1 oz in a sitting without any problem. Im going to take it slow and complement with the shake when I do not meet my protein goal with food alone.

anyone have trouble sleeping after WLS?
Claudiarb replied to Losebig's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yes, big time, I went around 2 weeks with 2 hr sleep a night even though I was totally exhausted. I tried sleepy teas, melatonin and nothing worked, finally broke down and went to the doctor for a prescription sleep aid as I could not function at all. -
I just started the soft food phase, I’m 1 month post op and can barely get 400 calories in. I do get 50gm protein in with the help of a shake.

I used to have a glass of scotch or bourbon pretty frequently, as of now Im almost 4 weeks post op and haven't given it one thought, Im so tired of drinking liquids all day that the last think I want is another glass of more liquid When the time comes, which will be in about 4 months (have a big weekend gathering) I will probably just get a glass of water and infuse it slightly with whiskey/bourbon, I know cardinal sin, but Im just afraid bourbon or whiskey on the rocks or with a bit of water might sit too heavy or burn my new stomach.

Weight loss stall 3 weeks post- OP
Claudiarb replied to Jennical's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was sleeved this past Dec 19th and have been on a stall for almost 3 weeks, there has been absolutely no movement whatsoever, it's like the scale is stuck at that number, but I've checked on others and it's the same. So I only lost weight the first week, pretty frustrating to say the least. It's not that Im not grateful for the 17 lbs lost it's just that it reminds me of my struggle this past few years where I was on a strict ketogenic diet, lost 30 lbs the first few months and then stalled for almost 2 years, after that initial drop I couid no longer lose weight, I tried adding more calories, less calories, more fat, less fat, carbs, etc. Nothing worked. I know I will lose the weight, it's just a bit frustrating that's all. -
Side Effects of Gastric Sleeve Surgery?
Claudiarb replied to low bmi sleeve's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Ugh mine too, the belching is horrific, I’m not meeting my water requirements during the week because I refuse to drink at work at the possibility that someone might hear me. That and the gurgling in the throat. Does it completely go away? -
December Sleevers - What did you have for lunch today?
Claudiarb replied to timarland's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Surgery was 12/19, I’m on my last week of full liquids. Today for lunch I had 2 oz of healthy request cream of mushroom soup and 2 oz of Amy’s organic low sodium tomato bisque. Can’t wait to start soft foods this upcoming Sunday 🙌🏼
