Mine was very similar to yours, except I did 3 days clear liquids, 2 week full liquids, 3 weeks puréed foods and then hard foods introducing one by one. A month out I could barely get in a few spoonfulls of soft foods. My first soft food was 1 scrambled egg, with salt and a bit of pepper, I could only eat 1/2 of it.

eek-just ate bag of ruffles potato chips/helluva good dip

Chips, cookies, popcorn, pretzels, are all slider foods, unfortunately you will be able to eat endless amounts even with a tiny tummy :/ -
Very discouraged. Two weeks out and still stalled
Claudiarb replied to ElseeG's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Seems like you are doing everything right so just keep doing what you are doing. I was stalled for 2.5 weeks at 2 weeks after surgery and then one day I just got on the scale and poof! Big drop. Even at 1 month post op I could barely get in 350 calories, right now Im at 3.5 months and get around 800 calories in a day. -
“You don’t need that just go to the gym”
Claudiarb replied to AiyanaC's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Believe me, nothing easy about this journey... -
I used to drink upwards of 64 oz a day before surgery, now I can barely get 32 oz in at 3.5 months post op. Also, I cannot do plain water as it sits very heavy on my stomach so I drink decaf tea, infused water.

I’ve made the fathead pizza easily about 20 times in the last couple of years while I was on keto. Can honestly say this tastes even better than original bread crust and it’s extremely filling. Highly recommend. Haven’t tried it yet after WLS, will wait until at least 6 months to make it again because it is higher in fat.

Who else was sleeved in dec 2017
Claudiarb replied to HeatherN4's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I got sleeved on 12/19/17, down 31 lbs so far, starting weight was 200 lbs. -
You can give RealGood pizza a try, It has a chicken crust and it's pretty yummy, especially the supreme. They are small 5" pizzas but are very filling, I usually only eat 1/4 or 1/2 but the whole thing has 50gm of protein and only 8 carbs.

I took 1 week off, no issues whatsoever going back to work except for being very tired from lack of calorie intake. HW - 209 SW - 200 CW - 177 Surgery Date - 12/19/17

Not as nearly as good as when I hit 183! I’ve never had an issue losing weight below the 200’s however for years 184 has always been the lowest I’ve been able to go no matter what I do, so when I hit 183 I did a super happy dance. My weight goal is 120-125lbs so still a long ways to go! Thanks you as well!

Yup, that was me. Lost 11 lbs the first week and then stalled for the next two, zero movement of the scale but I could see and feel my clothes especially my shirts getting looser. Then after the two week stall I dropped around 7 lbs then on and off for the next couple of weeks. I don’t stress anymore because if I don’t see the scale moving this week I’m pretty sure I will do the following one. HW - 209 SW - 200 CW - 177 Surgery Date - 12/19/17

Sushi in soft phase? Rice?
Claudiarb replied to atphiladephia's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I looove white rice and sushi, I could eat that everyday if I could however once I removed the rice from my diet I started seeing results. Unfortunately all carbs and not that many nutrients. I plan to have it maybe once in a while and if it agrees with me, otherwise there are ton of other options like sashimi. Also, almost all sushi restaurants I’ve gone to have a roll or two that do not have rice, I tried one wrapped in cucumber and it was delicious. HW - 209 SW - 200 CW - 177 Surgery Date - 12/19/17 -
I’m 5 days shy of 2 months and I have lost exactly 23 lbs since my surgery on 12/19. I’ve also noticed I can get more food in each week that passes. HW - 209 SW - 200 CW - 177 Surgery Date - 12/19/17

7days out and hungry....... or is it my head
Claudiarb replied to Slevedbanana's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It’s different for everyone, my sister had the surgery before me and she did not have an ounce of hunger at all, nothing looked appetizing to her, in fact that’s what pushed me to get it as well. For me? I was ravenous all the time for about 3 weeks post op, I was craving anything and everything all day and night, then it started to subside. I’m now at almost 7 weeks post op and sometimes I could go without eating because I’m honestly not hungry , however I still eat even if it’s something really small. Good luck and hang in there. How soon after Surgery
Claudiarb replied to r.chapanar@gamil.com's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
At the hospital the next day after my surgery the doctor suggested to take a shower, he said I would feel better. No kidding, best shower EVER! HW - 209 SW - 200 CW - 177 Surgery Date - 12/19/17 -
I was short of being incapacitated because of extreme fatigue. Even though was doing at least 50gm of protein and taking my vitamin and B12. Even taking a shower felt like I had just ran a marathon, there was nothing wrong with me, the surgery just hit me this way. I never did have nausea though except the day after surgery. I’m now 6 weeks post op and I feel I get more energy every day. It took me almost 5 weeks to start feeling normal again.

What do you eat that DOESN'T bother you or make you feel nauseous?
Claudiarb replied to Half-Tum's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Tuna, black beans mashed with melted mozzarella, soups, all sit well. Eggs, cottage cheese, fish Halibut to be exact all sit super heavy and I can only eat about 1/2 oz at a time. I’m only 6 weeks post op so I haven’t really gotten into solid foods yet. -
Help so many protein shakes to choose from?
Claudiarb replied to Kr1ckit's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I don’t like the premade stuff, I use Isopure zero carb protein powder in chocolate, 1 scoop, 1 cup 1% milk, 2 tbsp Greek plain yogurt and two small slices of banana, blend it and it’s so delicious! The first two weeks I made 2 scoops with water and nothing else , it was still good but not as tasty or thick as the one with milk and yogurt. -
What lunch looks like- 6weeks 2 days post op
Claudiarb replied to Toomanytacos's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Ah, that makes more sense. I found that if I eat super slow and take a long time I can pretty much eat a lot, now I only give myself 30 min and whatever I eat in that timeframe is what I have, I pack the rest for a later snack. -
What lunch looks like- 6weeks 2 days post op
Claudiarb replied to Toomanytacos's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Wow! Jealous! I can only get 2 oz of anything in one sitting. 1 oz if it’s chicken, eggs or fish. Did you eat it all and how long did it take you? -
Totally normal, at two weeks I was barely getting 24 oz of liquid in and that was counting the morning shake. Don’t push it, take it at your own pace, you will start to notice that each day you can do a little more than the previous day

anyone have trouble sleeping after WLS?
Claudiarb replied to Losebig's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yeah, Im still taking it. It's actually an antidepressant that helps with sleeping & anxiety. It's called Amitriptyline. Dr prescribed me 50 mg at night but that knocked me out for almost a day and 1/2. So I break it in half. I have never taken an antidepressant before but I get absolutely no side effects from it except for getting super sleepy. So far it has worked great so will continue with it for a while. -
Extreme exhaustion has been one of my biggest drawbacks yet. I’m a month out and it’s definitely getting better but up to a few weeks ago even showering seemed like I had ran a marathon. Are you taking B12 ? Also in terms of eating, I have found out that waiting 5 min in between bites helps with the fullness and stomach pains, I take a very small bite, set my timer to 5 min and so on, it takes me a long time to eat 1 oz of anything but I’ve found that the signal to when I’m full comes around the 5 min mark so it’s perfect, I know to whether take that last bite or not.

Day 3 post op.. I feel water going down and it hurts... is this normal
Claudiarb replied to patpat2's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yes, it’s normal, for me the first week I could barely get in 10 oz of liquid in a day, and that was sipping the entire time I was awake. Also, for me water is a no, it sits super heavy on my stomach and chest so I just make caffeine free tea and that’s how I get my liquids in. -
I used to get the shots once a month but had terrible “restless leg syndrome” at night that it prevented me from falling asleep, so now I take the sublingual drops and no issues with that.
