I have thirteen days until my surgery. Started the pre op diet yesterday. It’s going good so far but man the bathroom runs are a killer lol. Just checking to see if anyone has the same timeline as me. I’m super excited, a little nervous. I’m glad I found this community. I stayed up most of last night reading it was eye opening. I downloaded this really cool app called Baritastic. Pretty freaking awesome. Please share your pots and your peaks with me so we can make this journey more amazing. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Day 3 pre op and going strong... last night I had a head hunger like nobody’s business. It was vicious but pushed through it. Here’s hoping the next 11 days goes smoothly. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Yes! According to my doctor you are supposed to start the pre op diet two weeks out so mine started on the 10th. I’m sure it’s not too late just start today.

Hi my surgery is 1/24. Started my diet yesterday!!! I’m excited but really nervous

I started my two week pre op diet yesterday. It’s defiantly challenging. I think what makes it doable for me is that the dietitian gave me a specific diet to follow. Unlimited protein shakes and water with one major meal. So basically a protein and veggies or legumes. I work better with structure. I got rid of any and all things on my home that would be temping. I informed all my friends to support my journey so they are aware and won’t put temping things in my way. I don’t know what your living situation is but this is what’s working for me so far. My advice would be to take it one day at a time. Failure today success tomorrow. You can do this!!!

My surgery is scheduled for 1/24. My insurance doesn’t cover anything to do with weight loss. I’m nervous getting closer to surgery date. Yesterday was my first day of my pre op diet. I’m sure I’ll have questions. This community is pretty great. I hope your insurance company approved you for the surgery. Good luck!!
