Problem with too much weight loss?!
Staceymorrow replied to Brayrae's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Too much weight loss happened to my dad after the rny. He went from 350 to 150. He also had to put some weight back on. LOTS of extra skin though, finding it hard to believe you don't have any. I've had the sleeve and down 100 pounds and joke now that i have wings where my arms used to be... "i believe i can fly" -

Gall bladder issues after sleeve
Staceymorrow replied to Staceymorrow's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My Dr did the hida scan and ultrasound prior to the surgery, everything was fine so he left the gall bladder, guessing I'll be having those done again. I'll just be glad when I'm not feeling sick every day. I know everyone said the first year is the hardest but i am literally approaching my year mark next week and sometimes it seems the symptoms are getting worse instead of better which is what got me to wondering if it was the gall bladder. -
vitamins? For how long?
Staceymorrow replied to harmonyoflife's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I took all the vitamins until i was eating regularly. Had all my labs done about a month after i stopped all of them and the only thing i was deficient in was the b12 so i do a monthly shot for that. I take my normal vitamins that i was doing pre surgery and also do viactiv- covers the calcium and vitamin d and was recommended by my dietician. -
I have had this and so has my dad. What we found out is that we weren't getting enough probiotics. He takes a pill and i make sure to eat my yogurt and both of us are doing better. Good luck!

Gogurt was my best friend that first month. Also i found an all natural pudding. I'm not a fan of jello so that was my issue. I also had a hard time finding protein that i liked. My dietician actually turned me onto fairlife milk. Love it and actually my family drinks it now too! I found little rice a roni cups too that would make it so i wouldn't overeat, not the best nutritionally but sometimes you just need a break. In that first month i found basically anything soft that didn't have lumps was just fine.

Hello everyone. I'm new to this page but happened upon it doing research. I'm coming up on my year after surgery. My question is I still have my gall bladder and I'm wondering if some of my symptoms are due to this and not just life after the surgery. My Dr did a test prior to the surgery to test my gall bladder and everything was fine so he left it in. I'm having issues after eating like pain and nausea. I just assumed it was still an adjustment thing as I've heard this will happen for the first year but then i remembered him testing my gall bladder so wondering if others have some input. I have my year check up with dietician and surgeon next week so i will definitely be asking at that time but wondered what you guys thought.
