  1. You are not alone, I have to shave my mustache once a week. Mine was worse though before I got closer to my goal weight. My doctor thought I had pcos too. Once I got down to about 240 my period became regular and my unwanted hairs on my face have gotten thinner and less fast growing. It’ll get better :) and if it doesn’t that’s okay, you are not the only lovely lady with some unwanted hair :)

    chewed a pepperoni

I ate potato chips and watermelon like a week post op. I was a complete dummy. Just be careful and not dumb like I was lol
  3. I regretted my surgery sooo much! But you will get better ! A year later you will laugh, soon you won’t be sick and hurting and can eat whatever you want and will have to be careful not to eat too much and gain weight back. Your feelings are totally normal and it will get better !

    Why liquids only?

The worst thing you can do is not follow your doctors instructions and them have to postpone your surgery if they find food in your tummy or intestines. You can do it! Remember how hard you worked to get to this point !

    Weight loss HALT

That’s totally normal also remember you are not drinking as much water as your body is used too and fluctuating 3-5 pounds is normal. Now when it stays a while and is creeping up be concerned. There is no way you can gain weight with only eating 500 calories. One thing I learned being a year and a half post op is I worried wayyyyyy too much. I worried about my hair, not losing fast enough, gaining weight when a year later my hair is almost back to its former glory, I’m still working on my last 20 pounds but I am sooo much healthier and happier than I used to be! Your body is adjusting to starvation conditions, just give it time! Keep sipping water, get protein and do a little walking and everything will be perfect! Congrats on your surgery and new life!

Premier protein chocolate shakes have like 1 carb, no sugar and taste like hot chocolate if you microwave them for like 40 seconds :)
  8. No one is saying eat whatever you want but healthy carbohydrates aren’t the worst thing at all. The thing we are learning right now with our surgeries is moderation. I think you shouldn’t have food as an enemy and I think if you are far enough out from your surgery where it is healthy and you are getting enough protein and even exercising, healthy carbs are great.
  9. I went camping a few days before my surgery and I ate like ten hotdogs, a bag of chips and so many cookies. I also ate some chips and watermelon like a week after surgery... duuumb lol. Don’t be like me though if you are about to have surgery

When did you start losing hair?

Mine started about three months after. I worried so much especially when it was falling out. Don’t stress, it will fall out and thin but then starts to shoot right back. Take your vitamins, eat protein, don’t brush your hair when it’s wet and take liquid silica and liquid biotin starting now and just keep taking it even when your hair stops falling out. Don’t worry ❤️
  12. I’m sorry! That’s awful! I heard about co workers talking about my body once and I felt awful. But you are doing a great thing for yourself with school and weight loss and I think sometimes people get rude when people become successful. They want to find a way to put someone down because they feel bad about themselves. Keep your head up! You are doing great beautiful lady!

    I feel so down

When you are dehydrated and on a crash diet basically your body is going to retain as much water as possible. There is no way at this point you won’t lose weight. I started with my surgery the exact weight you are almost a year ago and I now 11 months post op and have lost 100 pounds, my weight loss was consistent but a little slower because I was bad and didn’t follow the regulations for part of it! You are doing great! Just Take is easy on yourself, you will lose weight and the slower you lose weight the better for your skin and hair. Just follow the dietary guidelines, walk a little when you feel up to it. Keep a water bottle with you drink lots of protein shakes. You are doing great! Now that I am a year post op I am doing and feeling better than ever and feel like I wasted a lot of energy worrying about little stuff. The first six months after my surgery I felt like I made a mistake because I wasn’t taking care of myself. But now I wouldn’t change it for anything !
