The consultation doesn’t happen until you’re done with what you need to do if you’re doing it through your insurance...but that consists of you meeting your surgeon for the first time and talking about which procedure you’re thinking about getting & they will tell you which one they think is best, then they give you a list of clearances you need to get done such as PCP clearance, EKG , Upper GI , Psych Evaluation & X-rays some will ask for more some will ask for less depending (: then once you get those done they send off a referral to insurance to get approved

Yeah I had to take the 4 hour class but that was after I got my surgery date...usually weigh in is when you go to your first consultation...

So I have hypothyroidism and it makes it difficult for me to loose weight, I have my surgery date and everything but if I didn’t loose how much my surgeon wanted me to before surgery can he cancel it or something??
-
Hopefully (: I already did a post surgery seminar, I’m not too sure if I will need anything else

Finally my dr cleared me after almost a month! Only to tell me that what they were telling me to get done wasn’t required and wouldn’t affect me getting surgery smh but whatever that’s done with! All I need is my psych clearance and I’ll be done with the clearances...but what happens when you get all your clearances done?

So I need some help, my doctor recommend the “pre op diet” i haven’t got a date I’m still in the “clearances stage” But one of the clearances was to loose 10-20 pounds so I’m doing the two shakes and one meal a day I’m just wondering if I can snack? Cause I feel like I’m starving [emoji30] , it’s the strangest thing because before this I would eat once a day lol if that ...I think it’s just me knowing that I can’t eat whenever/whatever I want lol I drink tons of water so idk if that makes a difference , should I ask the surgeons office or?? If anyone can give me some advice I’d really appreciate it 🖤

No , i had back issues/surgery before but it’s acting up again so she had requested for a mri of my lumbar spine, it has nothing to do with the weight loss surgery neither does the ultrasound, but she said she won’t clear me unless I get those things done

One of the clearances my doctor requested was for me to loose 10 to 20 pounds before. So he suggested I go on this diet. 2 protein shakes & 1 regular meal a day.

So day 2 of pre op diet and it’s so hard [emoji30] I’m starving [emoji24][emoji24] but I gotta do what I gotta do I still haven’t got a date so I’m still going through clearances... dr won’t clear me until I get ultrasound that she ordered a month ago?! & a mri that she also ordered a month ago! I’m annoyed, everything was going so good. So fr I’ve only gotten the EKG clearance I’m not sure if she sent it to the office or is she waiting for me to do the mri& ultra sound to get Medically cleared to send with it [emoji30] I’m just drained

My insurance does cover WW thank god! & no but with that I was also seeing my PD every month to check weight. But my PD never took copies or anything of my WW attendance which is weird so I’m not too sure how all that goes.
-
Makes sense , so far I’ve done the 6 month medically supervised weight loss with Weight Watchers (: hopefully everything else goes smooth
-
Why so long lol?

Mind me asking why it took six months?(:
