I had my finally check in with my surgeon and now I just "enjoy" the remains of my liquid diet and wait for surgery day. Congrats to those who have gotten their surgery! Good luck to those going in next week.

My liquid diet is 6 high protein Ensure a day and 2 cups of non-starchy veg. I'm terribly envious of those people are are allowed to eat meat, I miss meat. I'm taking 4 weeks off, I saved up some vacation time from last year, I just wanted to know I was on solid food and know what's what before going back to work.

I'm in Canada, so the rules are different. When I first started looking online all I saw was US info and I was SALTY about the length of the liquid diet but I'm used to it now. -

My program usually does 4 week to 12 week full liquid diet before surgery, it depends on your BMI. I can have 2 cups of veggies (non starchy veg) a day so that's something. There are days when I just want some meat, but if I ca't do this how can handle what happens after... -
