Bloating After Eating
Mitzy69 replied to dreamnslim2012's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am on almost 8 weeks post op...eating is a chore...no matter how much or if it's water...burping attacks...drains me to the point of exhaustion. So I think I will start picking at food 6 times a day instead of 3 meals. My job has me on the road most of time, making me eat unwanted crap. Start weight 250 12/29/18...now 216. 60 more to go.. -

I wish I could eat 3 Oz of food. I swear one step forward three back. All I do is burp...can't even take my protein or water. 4 weeks post op. As soon as I feel like I have a handle on it, I get miserably sick. Now a new symptom horrible pain when I eat...gas pain so bad it has me rolling in pain...can't eat, is like a possessed ghostly stomach flu...I don't know any more. I am just tired of feeling sick. -

I am also having troubles getting any protein at all in..was thinking about shots too..I can't hardly drink water. After I eat anything I pay dearly. All my muscles hurt, and I am so tired. I can't get out of bed today. Surgery date 12/29 12/29 - 250 1/25- 226
-
Surgery date was 12/29. Start weight 250. Now 227. So I have lost about 1 pound per day. Haven't been able to drink all the protein required. Haven't been able to eat or drink much either. Made a HUGE mistake of drinking about half ounce of pepsi.... big huge mistake. Did it last night around 10 pm...now 7 am still miserable pain. Body achest and feel weak..I have to get my protein in another way.

Liquid diet and craving White Castle
Mitzy69 replied to linda8's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I only had 5 days liquid before my surgery, I really didn't have enough days to prepare myself. I guess is was best this way. Now I have no choice than to do as the doctor said, or pay a price. The rewards so far are beginning to out number the cost. I weigh myself every morning and as I see my body shedding those pounds that caused so much in and out side pain, keeps me going strong. Yes it's hasn't been an easy three weeks...but nothing good comes easy. I thank God for giving me the chance to have a new life. I am glad all of us want to be healthy to live a few more years to spend with our love ones, and wear that SEXY black dress! Lol! Pray, love and laugh! -
Liquid diet and craving White Castle

I wanted WINGS!!!!! Is like we are alcoholics....and there alcohol EVERYWHERE and we can't drink it. The smells are amazing when we can't eat anymore of it. Honestly, we are addicted to carbs, candy sweets...and now we made a decision COLD TURKEY to not eat it again. I will never judge anyone with addictions again. It takes a great deal of strong will to stop eating the things we loved. Then again, our stomach is so small that we couldn't eat more then 2 oz at the time.lol....I am 3 weeks post surgery. I miss the wings..but I am going to try the Keto diet...all the bread free wings I can fit in three oz belly!! -
Tummy Pictures?? Anyone brave enough?

Hello ladies! OK so I had 6 babies, I am 48...I always carried my weight in the MIDDLE!!UGH!! No huge boobies no butt, my bottom has never been my problem. Just my extra set of hobbies in back..and bigger belly. I had my surgery on 12/29. Weigh in at 249 5'3 1/2 Today I weigh 231. I feel like a melted candle..my belly starting to look as if it's drooping in top of my girl. (Hehe) will i get my skin removed? I am still debating. I don't heal well. I am scared of a staph infection. My incisions are still healing and they are NOT pretty. So even if you cut out the skin...we still have 5 or 6 scars in our bellies. -
Omg! Me too!!!! The doctors saw me yesterday, did barium xray...he was there and saw his beautiful master piece. There is nothing wrong....he prescribed me Nexium. You will not belive how much better I have felt today. Just two doses. I do tend to eat strange foods....I just eat small snacks, instead of a so call breakfast, lunch and dinner. I make cornmeal malt o meal style with about I tablespoon of fat free creamer, 1 cup water, 1/2 tsp salt 2 packs equal. Simmer down to a smooth thick and creamy...hit's the spot. I only eat about two oz. Then about 30 min later an oz of protein Premier banana or chocolate drink, and some water. Two hours later 1string cheese...1/2 container of sugar free jello. Today I ate wonton soup and a half mush noodle..not the meat part. Then about 2 hours later another string cheese and a half oz of yogurt. And at night 6-7 jello, 1/2 cup mash potato with a bit of mayo and Parmesan cheese. Lots of sips of water thru out the day. I most 21 pounds since 12/29. Do not eat fast, do not eat too much and don't drink water while eating. That will make you burp and choke and vomit. Is like pushing too much too fast through a small funnel. Thathe is what made me miserable. The doctor also told me, not to worry if i dont get enough calories or the protein, just drink at least 40 oz of water. I hope that maybe helped !
-
Ps. My doctor also said, don't push yourself to eat or drink protein supplements, as long as you drink the very least of 40oz of water. I swallow air when. I eat or drink...so he said maybe a straw will help my drink more water. Keep water as much as you can. Keeps you hydrated.

I am so sorry that you are not feeling well. I had my surgery on 12/29. I also am having some issues, I saw my doctor, and he attended my barium test. I have severe GERD. I was afraid to eat or drink anything, he put me on Nexium, it has helped a lot. Hopefully they will do some test on you to find out the issue. Maybe it's a stomach flu. Kids bring home uninvited guests from time to time.(viruses) I truly hope they can find the issue soon. Keep us posted! Hope you feel better soon!

Dietdoctor.com Thats the website my doctor recommends to all his sleevers. I will try once I can eat regular food. Sugar and carbs are so hard to give up, but I will try. I hate sugar free after taste, makes me instantly nauseous. Will see what happens!

Has Anyone Cheated On Their Post-Op Diet?
Mitzy69 replied to cbchebert's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow...you guys are brave...donuts? Tamales? Do ritos? Here is am trying to eat sugar free yogurt 😳Popsicles. I tried two bites of extremely moist meatloaf and was sick all night long. I can't even eat tomato soup. The acid of anything even a mashed boiled egg keeps me burping sour nasty burps. The only thing that went down smooth was a protein shake I made with bananas, peanut butter and fat free milk. I am planning on Keto dieting after I heal. If I can take it. Artificial sugars make me so nauseous. I am going nuts hungry and sick of jello, BROTH AND YOGURT! 15 days post surgery. Lost 16 pounds -

Trust me there is a reason for that. I tried soft foods before it was due to, and omg! The awful feeling! Last night I was Sooooooo angry and so discouraged! I kept asking my husband- WHY DIDN'T I JUST STAYED FATTTT! I was happy and somewhat healthy! Then I came to, and realized something about me...I have been a spoiled brat that ate anything I wanted to and smoked and have never had to give this two things up. I never been a consistent or discipline myself. This is the first time EVER, I had to strictly follow rules or pay a price. I actually had to divorce food and cigarettes. Like I have to read the back of food to realize how awful they are for my family and I. It's so hard to just leap in this life changing surgery. I have to be patient with myself and take one day a the time. Took me 48 years to and now I did it and thankful that I can't change that. If I decide to cheat I will pay with vomiting, heartburn, pain and bloated.

How's everyone feeling? I can't take the heartburn it's killing me. I don't see the doctor again till May! I wonder why so long before he sees me? I thought we had to go monthly. Calling my regular doctor today maybe he can monitor me better.
