    Workout Music-Whats Your Song?

Hi it's snowy in Ohio and I'm back again. Rediscovering Toby Keith, his American Soldier and Courtesy of the Red White and Blue inspire me to be a better American, I like the message of Good as I ever Was and I March,in place to Sh***y Golfer And after all the weight nay-sayers I wanna say All about me. Its my time to shine don't you know. Have a good night everyone.. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Hit me with your best dad jokes

Gosh and I just thought it was the apostles who were in one accord. Got one I heard from my STNA days when I was working in a health care facility. Pastor comes visit Brother Smith one of his retired, deacons from his church. He says are,you saying Grace before meals as,good example? Ah yes he says and gives the Bible location. Pastor goes home, looks it up and it reads "Jesus Christ yesterday today and tomorrow always the same. " This from same gentleman who said " you got to love nursing home chicken. They fix it 6 different ways on 5 different days and it all tastes just the same." He was a hoot! Pre op diet wearing me down

A wise person once said " one can do Anything for 6 weeks at a time" but I'm not certain it was a bariatric patient. Don't know if I would chew my own arm off but don't come around me dressed like an ice cream cone or slice of steak with grilled Portobello mushrooms. What Post-Sleeve Rules Do You Break?

Don't care as much for cukes unless English or burpless; how about yellow or zucchini squash or potabello mushrooms. Have trouble with carrots and a lot of raw veggies unless pre steamed. Those e-vile dentures can slip at times. Folks natural are better but I learned that too late, grew up before widespread fluoride and I inherited my daddy's naturally soft teeth, don't miss the pain but I do miss the bite-ability. What Post-Sleeve Rules Do You Break?

Way back in the distant past when I was a little kakat kitten I used to eat chewing gum in my high school afternoon classes so I wouldn't be too hungry before I could get home to good food. Hadn't come to mind until your postings. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. Hi you Kentucky Wildcat from Central Ohio, good to have you on board. Love reading everyone's trek toward toward fitness and health, sure the journey will bring you good things. I'm a little farther along but pre surg myself. Ask anything I'm sure one of us will have an answer or least an opinion. I enjoy Fluffy Chix' s postings myself, she approaches this journey with a sense of humor, makes me perk up on blue days. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

  12. So when was your birthday? I'm a holiday baby( December 26) this year I didn't overindulge in cake cause no one bought me one and ,l actually lost my taste for sweets, think my body is wanting my surgery as much as my mind does. My son bought me cookies and they got old and stale, and,i pitched them out other day. What tastes good to me are vegetables, really like microwaved sweet potatoes and broccoli steamed. Psychiatrist Appointment

My psych had 233 questions on 3 sheets of paper- some seemed repetative- some silly "are you afraid of heights?" are they afraid I'll fall off the gurney? Anyway i passed with flying colors so that's one, more of the pre- needed done. Mine was a female about 25 to 35 minutes. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

    60+ years in age

72 the 26th of December, RnY coming up yet this winter. Maybe one of my surgeon's older patients but plan to be a success. Wish I had committed to this at a younger age before so much of my body wore out but I can still fight the good fight. Love reading all the BP postings, you all are so inspirational. Snow, snow and more snow

Happy New Year Redmaxx. Its +1 degree in Ohio and I'm watching the Rose Parade. Next summer when it's warm in the Midwest we'll forget how miserable winter can be. We will be in sundresses and shorts in a smaller size and basking in the sunlight. Then our AussieGal friend will,be having her winter instead of us. Best to you and yours. Dear Santa...

Dear Santa you might as well forget about,me this year(oops I guess you did) at rate I've lost my taste for cookies so,i didn't bake you anything. Would you be interested in a sugar free popsicle, jello or broth? Be better for you, saw you were having trouble getting in and out of the sleigh and you would be able to pick,up that bag better if you weren't so out of breath. So if you have anything left in your bag a health dose of stay the course is what I need most. Your potentially smaller friend ME Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

    Workout Music-Whats Your Song?

Well folks I'm a classic and in some circles antique. Abba, BeeGees especially stayin alive. The Band Perry, especially the lyric Mama said that I ought play nice but she didn't know you when she gave that advice. The title is Gone. Otherwise anything perky or fast paced country. That's what moves this gal. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Pre op diet wearing me down

Hey guys I've heard my surgeon doesn't require routinely a long pre op liquid diet. Just clean balanced smaller portions. Wants you healthy instead of frustrated weak and angry. We'll see how that goes, since my BMI is still 45ish, I can't help but feel it sounds too good to be true. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

    So scared

I am still pre surg but let me share mine. 1 God would-be,mad with me since I was asking to have,my intestines rerouted. 2. I'm too old for surgery; people will think I'm silly or vain for asking. Strangely I'm not worried of the surgery , more scared the surgeon will back out instead of me. 4. Running away from the surgical team-nope with 2 artificial knees I couldn't outrun them. 5. I'm a bad girl, I don't deserve surgery, well why don't I? I have fought the different diet wars and my fat cells always won. You want a different excuse? I was normal sized at,birth 7lb12oz but, my mother's,doctor ordered her to feed,me an 8oz bottle of Carnation milk after each, nursing. At 1 year I was 35 inches tall and weighed 36 pounds. Even when I was normal sized I felt fluffy not firmed, fleshed. I was a non winner in the weight wars but now I will, have,a tool,to,helpwith the healthy commitment and changes. I plan to live out my 70s and, onward. Like Reba McEntire's song. I'm a Survivor. I look forward to surgery , I trust my future surgery team to put me asleep smoothly and wake,me up gently to start my new better life. Join me on this journey, please?
