SurpRise I'm on the spectrum myself, I don't "come out" to everyone but I'm high-func Aspie. Didn't always have the diagnosis, as a Female Aspie, first they denied,we existed, we ( I'm 72) learned to cope, sublimate, try to fit in, our symptoms seldom got the attention male autistic had, but we are as Neuroally Diverse. My mother (who really didn't understand) told me I didn't try hard enough to make friends, oooh I tried but they,didn't want to befriend me. I had an aunt who told me I was preverse, the term she was looking for was obtuse. She told me to run thru the house with the sweeper, how was I supposed to know she wanted to vacumn,? she didn't say so. Other autistics don't upset me because I'm there too.Love your son, sure our neural wiring may be different but we are wonderful people who do have great value. I learned this in adulthood after being told I was innately flawed from childhood on. You have to take care,of yourself too and if weight loss is in your future I for one will cheer you on. sorry I got on my soapbox but I thought you,might,understand. This may not help much but walk. Either push in a stroller or put him in a backpack. Practice using his weight as a cute cuddly barbell, make him your exercise buddy. Have you cut,back,or eliminated snacks, carbs and fast food? I know as a young frazzled mom it's easier to grab something quick. I'm probably, preaching to the choir but I'm now a obese 72 year old granny and i,know of what I speak. You don't want to be sick and tired of being sick and tired. I'm having to,learn to be healthier myself. I have tried fad and structuralized diets, nothing kept,it off so,i' m facing surgery at this point in my life. I know you probably don't want to be preached at but please,learn by my example. I will probably end up with baggy saggy skin yet you will tone back,up at your age. Welcome to my world, I go so, much you'd think I was a guy with prostate disease. The majority of my problem is: I have 3 kidneys. Its kinda family tradition, both my parents did too. Mamma had a normal on the left and a horseshoe on the right 2 fused so it looked like a giant C, Daddy had 2 normal on the right-1 on the left I am the reverse. Both Daddy and I would have been wonderful potential kidney donors as we had 3 perfect drainage systems. When I had pancreatitis, something nobody would want to have, imagine somebody hits you across the upper abdomen with a cement 2x4 and then sits on it. Gastric surgery can't hurt any worse than that! At any rate, they did a cat scan and said We might have bad news, you may have a tumor on the left side. No I said, its okay that's just the top of my extra kidney. So I have a pair and a spare, the bad news is they all are fully functional so I clear urine 1 1/2 as fast as normal. I am a tinkling machine. They love me for urine samples cause I always have plenty to give. The Bible says we are strange and wonderfully made, certainly holds true in my case. Only other thing besides dehydration is something in your diet, you occasionally get weird shades. And when I get dehydrated the concentrated urine burns and I'm more prone to develop an urinary tract infection. Drink drink drink, keep that critter pale yellow. I will have a blind pouch with a iddie bitty anastomosis to my small intestine. 5/8ths of my stomach is just sitting there making digestive juices, they remove most of your stomach and discard it, you litterally become bananarama kids. Hi Ashara, what a pretty name.I'm a little ahead of you, I have done all my prerequirements, waiting on a call or letter from my surgeon's office, looks like early-mid March for my RnY. I'm sure you were asking Glowing up but I'll tell you instead where I'm at. I live in Mount Vernon Ohio 14 miles from Ohio's Geographic Center. I'll have my RnY at Mount Carmel in Columbus early-mid March. Now you both know more about me than you probably wanted to. I have a BMI of 45 and I'm 5ft8in, settled down in old age from 5ft11in so yes my back aches too. I'm 72 but I'm it to win just like everyone else.
